and I'm telling you Liberty will be a major player one year. They have loads and loads of money with essentially no debt. The on campus student body is almost as large as State's and the school is only 30 years old. They also graduate thousands more every year thru their distance programs. The Chic-fil-a guy has them lined up to take on a boat load when he's gone. And get this, Liberty has a private high school on the college campus. It's the largest Christian school in Virginia. If you go there 9th - 12th grades, you get a four year scholly to Liberty U. People have actually moved to Lynchburg to take advantage.
And while we're on the subject, Patrick Spainhour, the CEO of The ServiceMaster Corporation is also a State alum and I don't think he cares very much about State. ServiceMaster owns Terminix, Truegreen LawnCare, Merry Maids, American Home Shield among others. The man is very rich, but I've never heard his name tied to State. I just happen to know he went there because I work for him...well several levels below him but you get the point.
