While on the surface, it would probably seem like the LHN would be a big benefit if you were a coach. But if you think about this a little bit deeper, how miserable would it be to have to host a TV show every damn day and answer repeated questions, in front of the camera, every damn day. That **** would get old quick.

I think this Charlie Strong waffling is partly due to the fact that he realize he might not be the politician that it takes to be on the Texas head coach.

It'll be interesting to see who eventually ends up in that job.

The Longhorn Network has backfired on Texas in a big way. It hasn't even been picked up by some of the biggest cable/satellite systems and the demand hasn't been nearly what they had hoped for even with the systems that do carry it. It drove their biggest rival to a much better conference and gave them a huge recruiting advantage. And their coaches hate it for the reasons you mentioned.
