I said we’d have growing pains & we got growing pains. But it’s a sweep so I’ll take it. Like you say this team a month from now won’t be the team we saw this weekend. It’s gonna take time.

The best thing I can say about this weekend is we have options. For every guy that was underwhelming was someone else that showed some real promise. Milewski vs James at the catcher comparison a good example of this. And we have other quality options that didn’t even play.
I think we’ve got some serious bullpen depth. Will need to nail down roles, and we’ll see how our rotation holds up two as two of our three starters were hit or miss. But again, we’re not at all devoid of options.
For all the anxious moments, I think we led after the middle innings in every game and never relinquished the lead. There was never a moment where we had to rally late to pull out a win or walk them off or anything like that.
Was it underwhelming? Maybe. But we’ve had much worse opening weekends.
