Rating every question good or bad before he gives an answer is kinda weird though

How dare a reporter ask a question that readers may want to know in a press conference. Like Saban, this is nothing more than a coach trying to intimidate reporters into only following his official narrative. Pretending it’s the reporters fault for asking a question he’s uncomfortable with.

Devil’s advocate from someone who has been in the room for a number of press conferences over the years…. Kelly is indeed a jerk but that was not the first question to ask a coach after a win. BK probably should’ve just not answered it if he didn’t like the question, but the reporter has to know what he’s getting into there. 15 minutes after an SEC win, Question 1 is not the time to imply that their offense sucks. Save that for later in the press conference after he’s had a chance to settle in some more or save it for the Monday presser when less emotion is involved.

Coaches are intense breeds, and even if Kelly is more of a jerk than most, there are not that many SEC coaches who would’ve gone along with that first question after a win without getting frustrated at it.

That is often the relationship between a reporting pool and an administration when there is tension between the two, for whatever reason.

It seems scripted and measured. Acting again in the presser. Not the first time and won't be the last
