Per Rotten Tomatoes, in which over 71K people took the time to rate it, it looks like it got a 93% approval rating. I'm thinking it's pretty damn good.

I fell asleep during the movie.



But we had driven 6 hours to Minnesota earlier that day, I had just finished eating an 10oz steak with a couple of Left Hand Milk Stouts (at Butcher and the Boar. Awesome!) and the movie didn't start until 10pm. My wife said the movie was really good.

The book was fantastic. They did a great job transferring it to the screen IMO. My wife, who normally isn't into the sci-fi stuff, really enjoyed it too.

It is an excellent movie. Don't expect a lot of great action (although there are some tense moments) but you will really enjoy the job Matt Damon does with the lead character.

Great movie, that stays pretty close to the book (according to my wife) but with dumbing down some of the technical jargon to fit it into something that would work for the movies.

Isn't the movie just Castaway starring Tom Hanks in space? It's kind of like how Avatar is really just Pocahontas in space.

I really liked him in the Iceman. That's why I went to see this one. Once again, he didn't disappoint.

The wife and I really enjoyed the movie. You will find some holes in the story but we thought it was really entertaining. If you go I think you will consider it money well spent.

I liked Interstellar with all it's twists. I assume this film is a little more straight forward.

Very good movie. Based on other people's reactions, you have at least a 90% chance of liking it. That puts the odds of both you and your wife liking it at 81%.

Saw Bridge of Spies yesterday. Wasn't as moving as I would have liked. I suppose that is on the director.

ugh, Gravity was horrible.. I could not stand the whiney character that Sandra Bullock played.

Interstellar however, what a fantastic movie that was.. Hoping to see the Martian soon

There are some slow parts for sure just like any Ridley Scott movie. It's pretty long as well, but it's a great story and beautiful cgi.

Just got home from the movie. We really liked it. Like someone said, it was like Castaway on Mars. Haha. Pretty good cast in this movie.
