Spent the day at Augusta yesterday. Maybe the most beautiful day I can ever remember there. Spent a lot of time at Hole 16 and even got to see Paul Casey hit a hole-in-one on Hole 12. Poulter was playing with him and he looks like an even bigger dbag in person than on tv.

Always amazed watching these guys hit golf balls. Also, the level of fitness on tour now is remarkable. Most of these guys are in really good shape. Webb Simpson has lost a ton of weight. Looks like a bean pole now. Its something to see some of these guys who are maybe 5-8 and150 and most crush drives 300+ yards and look like they are barely swinging.

Course wise, in immaculate shape (as always). Think there will be some rain on Thur.

Got to see Arnold Palmer mingling with all of the other rich folks. Cool to see Arnie in person for the first time ever.

Talked some trash with Day on one of his drives. Stood right beside him and told him I did not think he could hit it passed the sand trap in the fairway (knowing full well he could). He just laughed and said he may be able to hit is 250. Went on to hit it probably 310.

Zach Johnson really looked keyed in to his round. Was taking a lot of notes and did not really offer much to the crowd like others were. I would bet he is in contention this week.

Overall, always have a great time at Augusta National. Highly recommend everyone to go at least once. Beer is cheap, food is good, and its great talking to folks across the world about golf.

Note: If you want to buy stuff in the gift shops, bring lots of $. Very pricey.

Can't wait to watch on TV this week. PGA Tour is loaded with players right now. The contenders, plus the first timers, will be fun to watch. I'm pretty interested in the first timers this year, see how they do. Things like the Champions dinner are really cool, helping us remember the history of the Masters.

It's wide open. It's really tough picking one guy this year. Everybody throw out a top ten. I'm still sticking with Willett as my winner though I have no idea. My top 10, not necessarily in this order:

Willett
Rose
Koepka
Grace
Day
Stenson
Scott
Haas
McIlroy
Matsuyama
Kirk

Okay, that is 11 but I wanted to sneak in Kirk. Zach Johnson is a snub that always burns me but somehow he rubs me the wrong way. Good player though.

I like Zach Johnson. Winning at Augusta and St. Andrews is the pinnacle.

Just don't think he's long enough to pull this off at Augusta anymore.

Zach was -11 on the par 5's when he won it. That was with wedges and one putts. I love him as a player and I appreciate his moral stance. I suppose I need to not worry about his cooler demeanor.

My A/B/C/D Group $25,000 Masters pool ABH's boy runs (all 4 must make cut), I took:

Day
DJ
Williett
Weisberger

You really have to pick outside the box, and have all your boys finish top 5-10 to win...I've had a few majors where I've been like 32 under and not even come close...lol

Gonna win or place one day though :100points: $$$

He said its the biggest pool yet, going to be enormous. Next year Im going to enter 2 or 3 sheets. Some guys are putting 5 and 6 in. $100 for a chance at anywhere from $2000 to $15,000 is good gambol odds.

Cannot in good conscience root for Fowler today with those pants he has on.

Amen Corner in 4K is incredible. I hope they can do the entire tournament in 4K next year.

LOL, yeah if I had to pick a few guys, probably go with Spieth, Day, McElroy, Scott, Watson. My long shot would be in the group of Mickelson, Matsuyama or Fowler, maybe really stretch and go with Z. Johnson or Paul Casey. Whew, stepping out on a very long, shaky limb calling for Day to win, I mean, be lucky to finish top 20 truth be had unless he brings his A+ game and putts out of this world and hits 90% G.I.R.. Nice find. Has he been hitting it good lately ? Recovered from injuries ?

I love after 4-5 holes "golfer A is going to finish top 5 , maybe win" guy. Dude ends up firing a 44 on the back 9, misses cut, poster doesn't post until next tournament.

Man, Ernie Els had a 7 putt:eek: on the first green. Apparently, his first putt was from 2 feet. My gawd. Ended up with a 10 on the hole.

:(

That actually goes beyond funny. Tough to see the Big Easy have such a bad case of the yips.

I'm a huge Bubba fan and I pull for him to win in every tournament he plays. Us lefties gotta stick together and I completely understand his social anxiety issues. Always been told I come across as a "prick" by those that first meet me, but once you get to know me I'm a pretty good dude. People close to Bubba say the same thing, he is just very closed off and protective of himself.

by close to I assume you mean friends and family as he is not well liked amongst his peers and he spends a great deal of time around them

I think Spieth is an exception to that. He could run away with this

Nobody liked Jack, either.
