A good friend of mine that's probably the only good fan out of the 10 buzzards sent me this gem of a thread.

http://csnbbs.com/showthread.php?tid=593042

From the OP:
USM AA starting QB confronted me in the EZ at 12:20 monday
...was chatting with a couple of other patrons and he leans on the pool table listening....was talking how the players are not the problem and how Buckley was in over his head (didn't know he was there)....he walks up and says he is sick of people talking about something they know nothing about and asks if I wanted to coach...basically told me that if I continued there would be a problem....if anyone thinks I am lying go ask Mike and Gail...

This is our supposed savior....lost all respect for him after that (had none before as a player anyway)

This is our QB people....how times have changed

An extra tidbit from the OP when someone made a reference to Brett Favre:
saw him piss in corner while in restroom standing line at robby's...he performed...this is different...sober no brain...drunk and hungover with talent....take the latter everytime...wins are the only thing that matter...this isn't 3rd grade people...to compare anyone to favre is unfair also....too much talent on this team and is severely mismanaged....

So apparently... it's cool for Brett to be a 17 year old getting kicked out of bars for public drunkenness, but don't let Alford stand up for his coach because he's tired of the criticism and really wants to win too.

Also of note... he said this incident happened on a Monday... but he decided to wait to make a thread about it until hours before their game... I swear, I don't get how some of their fans even form rational thoughts.

He signed with the baseball team. He's playing both pro baseball and college football for now. I have my doubts as to how long that will last though.

What money did he give up?

Better do a little research on that one...

Hattiesburg American reported that AA gave up first round money to play football. He took a special football deal + 3rd round pick money @ $750,000 which would be at least a loss of a million dollars. My interpretation would be #fuckedup

That's probably speculation, but if true (and I'm not saying it's not), then yeah. I agree with you. He 17ed up. Actually I agree with you regardless. There's no way he's going to reach anywhere near his potential in either sport as long as he plays both. He's going to wind up being a disappointment in both.

Rumor in Hattiesburg is Johnson never signed the contract that was given to him. His agent looked it over and advised him not to sign it and let the year play out w/o a contract.

Also, I was told that the Championship game Usm won last year in football, players haven't been given rings "yet" as they are trying to raise $25k and they have only received $20k. Hmmmm, if all of this is true which I can believe, Usm is in plenty of hurt right now!

Johnson should have fired his agent on the spot if he suggested that. If he hasn't signed a contract, they could fire him at the end of this year and not owe him a dime.

I know it won't matter to anyone on here but I think Buckley was hired to be the running backs coach and got forced into OC after the OC EJ hired took a leave of absence. Just saying
