per news reports. Horrific situation in all aspects and then to hear he was associated with State at one time just made my heart sink further. Death penalty would be too good for this guy. Just put him in general population at the prison in CS....that should do it.

The guy was a meth head. If you read the reports the authorities found chemicals used the manufacturing of meth. He was either a cook or a materials and chemical supplier. Meth makes people absolutely nuts bc people stay up for days and days without sleep, continually using. Eventually the combination of all the meth and no sleep makes people sometimes do horrific things

While I agree meth makes people nuts, I don't think there's been an epidemic of family murders among meth users. My bet is this dude was nuts before he starting using meth.

I'm too old to know much about it but I'm working with a couple of guys right now in recovery from the stuff and they say some of it can be real nasty, that you never know which way you might be going.

The scary thing today with some young people coming in with an addiction is that they've been taking amphetamines (or some other powerful med) since they were elementary school age, quit once they were grown, and then began to self medicate because they were going nuts. It's a sad deal because they are some sick puppies. I believe we are going to see things in this generation like we've never seen before because we've managed young growing lives (and tinkered with their brains) from an early age with some pretty powerful meds without really knowing what the long term consequences may be.

It is not unheard of for meth heads to brutally murder their family or people they know. I read book before one guy shot his girlfriends head off "just to see what wld happen". Go read the articles he was a full blown paranoid tweeker

It is frightening to think about how massive of a scale this was done on, almost moreso is the fact that we (collectively) were aware that the long term effects were unknown, yet still passed out the meds like candy at a parade to every Tim and Susie that got a 'C'.
