Mick Stoltenberg laying down some leads with our band last night. Makes that Gibson look like a ukulele..

That's pretty cool. Good thing he's from Nebraska. If not, a section of our fanbase would tear him apart. If he was from California, he would never hear the end of it.
Luckily he is from Nebraska, so we know he is only focused on football and this is just for fun!

He is related to one of the guys in the band, and was just there with his family to see us play. He wasn't out partying or anything.

His mom and dad are pretty musically inclined, and he is actually a pretty darn good guitar player.

Good! Nebraska kid showing his skills.
Like I said, the fact he is from Nebraska puts any doubts about any of his dedication level to football right to bed.

I sense your sarcasm. I don't remember the player, but I seem to remember a guy a few years ago that was in a band and caught a lot of crap for it on here. I will feel stupid when somebody reveals it. Maybe it is only in my head?

That's a nice Les Paul. Just picked one up myself a few weeks ago.

Our guitar player gets into his guitars. He has a Paul Reed Smith too, and various Fenders. I just stick to a P-Bass Deluxe, which has the PJ pickups, and the thinner Jazz-like neck.

Well I can't even really play a guitar yet, and I own five.

A Martin D-18 acoustic, a G&L ASAT (think Telecaster), a G&L Legacy (think Stratocaster), a G&L Fallout (P-90s), a Les Paul Traditional, and a PRS Mira. I also have a G&L LB-100 (think P-Bass). I had two other G&L basses that I sold.

I'm selling the PRS Mira, as you can tell I'm a G&L fan.

I had a guitar once. An acoustic. Was at a frat party, sitting on the stairs, charming the pants off some coeds with my home-grown lyrics about giving my love a cherry, which had no stone, etc. but then some drunk oaf in his 7th year smashed it on the wall. But later I bought his mermaid-shaped fish tank with glass boobs at a foreclosure auction so who got the last laugh?

How much you asking for the mermaid shaped fish tank with glass boobs?

I was convinced that was a 3/4 size Les Paul. Nope, just a 1.25 sized person.

They look big on the field, but you never get a full appreciation for how big they really are until you're standing right next to them. And I'm not even talking height. I'm 6'2", so he is taller than me, but doesn't tower over me. But he is about twice my width. His entire body is just extraordinarily thick.

I'm 6'2 and an out of shape 270 lbs and he would pound me into the ground like a railroad spike.
