Then you ignore all human nature. No one is going to make extra efforts to succeed if they will not get the benefits for their efforts. As for no where innovation and improvements have ceased when rewards are not consistent with effort and talent I sure hope you do not teach history because everywhere socialism has been tried innovations and quality of life went down the toilet
This was the true mike drop moment. Thanks topps

Speaking of drop moments, where have the libs gone? Oh wait, if the people I pulled for were Cuomo, And Sleepy (go the wrong way at my own house) Biden, I’d drop my phone in the toilet, and if I had a laptop, it would be in a dumpster.

Carry on.

Looks like the Republicans don't mind selling the American people too. This infrastructure bill is a complete joke of a monstrosity. Follow the money people. It's all about power.

The two bills are stark examples of how broken the system is. The sheer size of the bills is repugnant and the fact that no one knows exactly what is in them perpetuates the belief that we are run by crooks and liars lining their own pockets. Someone needs to call out the wasteful and unnecessary projects in these bills..but it wont be read, debated or publicized in time for that to happen....trillions are the new billions and no one seems to care that this will have adverse effects for decades to come.

Can you imagine the outrage if a CEO of a major corporation put forth a plan like this for his company with the statement that we will have to find out what is in it after it has been implemented

They are pissing on our legs and telling us its raining.....they rely on people to be uninformed or apathetic to learn about economics, global supply chain or the basics of how world financial markets function....so people think plowing trillions of printed/borrowed money is a good thing, higher wages are a good thing, higher taxes are a good thing, large social programs are a good thing, reducing oil production is a good thing....without any explanation of the short and long term consequences. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction...its called balance....Pumping money into an economy to fix problems is the biggest con game in history, not just today but the last 50 years...globally

I thought this was Babylon Bee at first but sadly this is our actual government's action. Astoundingly incoherent and nonsensical to ask an energy rival for help ( or bully them as Bagdad Barbie Psaki said) when its their primary source of revenue in that country - what motivation do they have? Does he think Russia will bend the knee to this request? Or the Saudis? We have the ability to be energy independent and lower our own prices...stop killing our own production and that would solve the problem.

Dam it Mac you’re just begging for a lecture on how SJW’s don’t root for individual politicians but are advocates for “justice” and “equity” plus cuomo is too conservative and Sleepy is just keeping the seat warm for a true visionary in the mold of AOC or Obama

Say what we want about Trump, but he didn’t play, and he actually put America first.

People can try to get technical, but it’s really simple. The country has been serving the power players interests, but Trump changed that when he became President. Most Americans were doing better until the China virus came along.
The media and establishment never thought he would win, and from the time he raised his right hand in 2017, fought to get him out. They finally succeeded at the election of 2020.

They have ground to make up. Trump f’d up their plans for 4 years.

Any guesses what msm would do if Hunter’s last name was Trump
Of course it would be mor evidence that Sr was in Russia’s back pocket, the election was stolen by Russia in 16 and they were planning to do it again now that the Russkies had blackmail info on Don jr or Eric. It’s a Biden though so it’s swept underneath that continental sized rug. Only reason they quit protecting Cuomo is because they stained the sheets thinking about Letitia James being gov of NY

I have at least a little more faith in human nature than that.

The Soviets beat us into space.

Aspects of socialism exist throughout the U.S.

I have not proposed a specific %. If we go with a negative % -- like having poor people pay the highest rates so that we can actually give additional money to the wealthy innovators, will they get more innovaty?

Do you think OJ Simpson didn't do it b/c he was acquitted?
Yes I think OJ was framed by the LAPD and has been looking for the real killers ever since. Evidently he thinks a caddy or golf course superintendent did it per Dennis milller

Please give one instance in history where the lifestyle of the population improved under a Communistic society.Your guru Bernie could not even keep his power on when he had to do honest work for a living

What does that have to do with the choices a person makes regarding his career. You know that teaching is not a lucrative career so do not go into it and then complain about the salary.
I have never expected the salary to be "lucrative." It has gotten considerably worse, as the article and tables explain. If you're going with the really ridiculous idea that people can't have complaints if they "knew what they were getting into," teachers also knew that tenure, steady & predictable raises, longevity, payment for advanced degrees, good benefits, and a good retirement were part of the deal, too.

I don't feel like repeating myself at the moment.

We have worked hard to undermine every such government. Most of Europe has socialized healthcare. UBI experiments suggest people don't stop working b/c they're guaranteed some income.

If you can accept that verdicts don't always get it right, it should come as no surprise that many believe Assata Shakur's statements of innocence.

Or maybe people take education courses because they are not very challenging. The academic advisors always told players on my college team to take an education courses when they were in danger of flunking

Big difference in working just enough to get by and going the extra mile to achieve.Taking this incentive away absolutely takes away innovation and progress

Right on. Re the Sputnik program no society is completely lacking achievement. It’s what known as an outlier

I don’t know of too many criminals who go around telling people how guilty they are especially when there are gullible liberals around who want so desperately to believe that cops are evil and go around looking for innocent black men to kill

Big difference in complaining about the lucrativety aspect and complaining about how pay has essentially gone backwards, or masters degree pay taken away, or longevity pay that was earned taken away and then told you got a raise with money that was already due/earned...new teachers aren't getting all the promises

In most businesses people earn more when they are productive.Education is a business and it is a business that does not have any discernible standards. We spend more per student than practically any nation Earth but are no near the top in achievement. There is a real problem when educators are pushing feelings over the basics of reading, writing and math

Mr President. What kind of ice cream did you get?

Mr President did you get a chance to talk to your daddy Obama on his birthday? What should have been asked: What year is it? Have you seen Weekend at Bernie’s? How did it make you feel? Do you make Jimmy Carter look like the man of the century?
