I don't know, we would have to tackle it on a case by case basis. Both sides have a hearty percentage of loud mouth idiots, but I'd venture to guess one complies with direct police commands and one doesn't. One side doesn't verbally abuse police and scream in their face. One side usually has an issue with people involved actively breaking the law.

Do you think Trump people showing up with weapons has anything to do with that? How can they respond to the "militia" groups who show up with weapons with little to no reaction and yet handle weapon free peaceful protests with extreme prejudice? I say that full well in knowing that using extreme prejudice towards armed individuals will only escalate the situation. But it seems to escalate a situation no matter the circumstances any more. I say all of this knowing I am non-violent in all aspects of life. I find any violence to be abhorrent.

Regardless, I think we all are in for it tonight no matter the outcome. Where I live is becoming increasingly worrisome. I'm seeing armed Trump caravans here in my rural area now. Never would've thought I'd see the day when that **** would happen. Hopefully everyone keeps their cool no matter the outcome. If you pray to a higher power, now is a good time for us all to do that and send out positive vibes.

@bleediteveryday30, the police department says they gave the protesters 5 minutes to get out of the street. What are they to do, if that part is true? Give them more time? After 5 minutes, pepper the hell out of the crowd. They were in a STREET.
Quit acting like you’re the voice for the downtrodden. I lean towards the side that the crowd was warned. It’s also said that the poor lady that had a seizure from the activity/spraying, was about 10 feet away from the spray target. It’s unfortunate that she was harmed.
If I was there protesting with my kid, which I wouldn’t, and the police tell me to get off the street, I’m getting the hell off the street.

The eye witness accounts say they immediately acted after giving the warning though. I've never acted like I am "the voice for the downtrodden". Just showing empathy for my fellow human beings is all.

One side usually has an issue with people involved actively breaking the law, laws that are typically unjust.

I think bad behavior on both sides needs to be called out....by people on the same side. People love to police the **** out of the other side and conveniently look away when its too close to home. I don't care for protesting much---peaceful or not. I just don't think its that effective in todays day/age. To me, its just escalates tensions and creates tension where their previously wasn't. I'm all for things being peaceful, but if somebody shouts BLM in my face or invades my personal space spewing conservative or liberal propaganda---I fully believe in punching them in the mouth. I would expect the same to happen to me if I get in someones face and disrespect them. Likewise, If I disobey direct orders from the police, I fully expect to be physically taken to jail. Actions have consequences.

So, what are the predictions for tonight? How many toss ups are there? Who gets to 270? Is it a Biden landslide? Does Trump shock the world again with another squeak by win? Do we see it all come down to PA and the courts in the end? I think Biden wins it 295-243. But, I can see a Trump 278-260 win if he grabs PA, NC, FL, and AZ. We could head into the wee hours of the morning with a 260-258 Biden lead and PA up for grabs.

I wouldn't get too cocky here. I think it could swing to Trump's favor possibly. The silent majority is a thing. A lot of white middle-upper class voters who say one thing and vote another way. The first returns tonight will be telling. They should give us an indicator of what is in store. Of course, that would be during a normal year and this is anything but a normal election year or year for that matter.

The silent majority would be Democrats. Trump supporters are any other adjective you can think of but, not silent.

If Trump is a fraction as bad as he has been made out to be, Biden should win in a landslide. If the national polls are to be trusted, it would take an unheard of turnout for trump to upset Biden. I think Trump has an uphill battle, not based on Biden being a legitimate opponent, but rather the amount of people that have an irrational hate for trump.

While I definitely see your point, I would render my excitement for the time being. Being someone who isn't a Biden fan I can say that this is a bittersweet possibility. On the one hand, a Trump loss will ease my mind, heart, and spirit for the time being. A Biden win is more than likely a return to the Neo-Liberal ******** policies I have hated for much of my adult life. Hoping at least for progressives to push Biden to left on the issues I think need urgent attention in this country. That's the best anyone can hope for at this point. At least until a viable third party can get something going.

With all the talk of violent upheaval potentially on the horizon, there's a scene in one of my favorite movies, John Carpenter's "In the Mouth of Madness", detailing how reality is a concept based solely on the viewpoint of the majority who in turn view themselves as sane logic minded individuals. So, in theory the sane view reality as a stable concept but what if the sane traded places with the insane? What if rampant insanity was the majority? We could be headed for something quite frightening no matter the outcome tonight.

"Every species can smell its own extinction. The last ones left won't have a pretty time of it. And in ten years, maybe less, the human race will just be a bedtime story for their children; A myth, nothing more."-John Trent

If there has ever been a year to not trust polls, this is the one. I don't think the hate is irrational either. Trump has brought it on himself. The American people will have spoken tonight and we will know what they truly think of him and his policies. I may or not agree with the outcome, that remains to be seen. But, I am not as confident as some are. I thought he would win in '16 and I still think he could win this time around. The polls would have to be way off and I will have to reevaluate the way I look at American politics after tonight if he does in fact win. That said, I hope he loses bigly.

Either way it turns out, the sun will still rise, the world will still turn, and you control the positive and negative outcomes in your life. Biden and Trump won't make you/I more or less content with life.

Yeah, I don't think I am the kind of person you have to worry about. I'm worried about my friends and family who are so enthralled with Trump and everything he says or does. I don't know about some of them if he loses. Because most, if not all, the Trump supporters I know think the sun rises and sets in Trump's *******.

Some of you still don’t get it. Trump is liked by so many because he isn’t a politician. He may lose tonight, I hope he doesn’t. I have been tired of the games these hacks have been playing for decades, and look past how he talks, and see what he does. Given the hate the elitists have for him, he’s done a good job. I hope if Trump doesn’t win that Harris isn’t as bad as I think she is, because anyone with half a brain knows Biden is just a prop, and he will not serve a full term. He won’t call the shots no matter if he is the president.

Who knows, they might decorate his basement to look like the Oval Office, and let him come out for some photo ops.

I’ll go ahead and say it and catch some crap from the libs here. This mail in voting is a sham. The media has done such a disservice to our country. It’s been effective though.
Hide Biden in his basement for the most part, refuse to say anything that could be considered criticism about him, and rip the **** out of Trump.
That is how you win an election, because we have a lot of ignorant people out here, many of them educated.

Mail in voting is a dishonest way to garner votes for Biden. The effort the left/media have gone to get Trump out of office is nothing short of criminal. There’s no reason Pennsylvania should have stopped counting last night. I guarantee had Biden been leading, they would have kept going.

It can go either way. But, the mail in voting will probably swing the lead to Biden’s favor. I fully believe this mail in voting was set up for this exact reason.

I just read where 128,000+ mail in votes came in this morning in Michigan. Don’t know if true, but supposedly 100% went to Biden.

I know the answer, but I’m gonna ask anyway. If the roles were reversed, and Biden winning, would you trust mail in?

The lengths to which some of you will go. This is still a ******* democracy. Yes, mail in ballots would tend to help Biden. But, Trump could still win. Every vote counts. What the president did early this morning has only created more division in this already heavily divided country. He loves to stoke the flames of dissent in the worst ways. He didn't want the vote to stop in Arizona because he was behind and was mad the AP called it for Biden, which they shouldn't have called it for Biden then. Then he turns around and says because he was ahead, (with millions of votes left to be counted btw), in GA, NC, WI, MI, and PA that the counting should be stopped. This is dangerous as ****. We have a sitting US president claiming the election is rigged because he's worried the rest of the votes, (being mail-in ballots), wouldn't go in his favor because he knows at least 70-75% of these are probably Biden votes. Look, the election could still go in his favor. He is behaving like a damn autocrat though. Which is apparently fine for all you "true patriots" out there. We all knew this was going to possibly be a lengthy process. Record turnout, millions of mail in ballots cast, and several of those states wouldn't allow the votes to start being counted until yesterday. He knew this, Biden knew it, and unless you're a dolt, you knew it too.

The media is the big winner. They should take a bow. An inept old man with bad memory issues, one who spent most of the last 8 months in his basement, is looking like the next president.

Sad day for politics in our country. A lot of blind, stupid sheep. A disgrace.

This mail in ballots are a sham. Never had this, but it ties into COVID. Very smart and orchestrated move by the left.

We've had mail-in voting for decades upon decades, just never on this scale. Jesus wept at the stupidity on display by Trump supporters. All the talk about how the left is caught up in "their feelings" and this is all we're seeing from Trump and his ilk today. This is raw for us all, I get it, but you have to accept the reality that Trump may lose and it is legitimate whether he wants to accept it or not. Same with Biden. The American votes are what matters here, every last one.

why would I distrust a form of voting that is allowed and has been allowed...only Trump throwing gas on it to create the very notion that you are insinuating....i trust that ALL votes need to be counted if on time and correct

It's not even over yet. It's likely over, but there is still a reasonable shot for Trump. I have my opinions on the mail in ballots and how strange it was that Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona and Nevada just stopped counting votes and how Nevada isn't going to resume counting until tomorrow at noon. But it is whatever. As long as we have the senate and the courts, Kamala's radical agenda will be difficult to push through. Although our last two presidents have used the EO like toilet paper, I am afraid that it is the norm going forward. But, that goes back to the courts.

If it means some of these whack jobs that have been screaming and crying and throwing temper tantrums in the streets over the past few years can go home and chill the **** out, I'll take the L. I just hope that the trumptards don't take their place and make a fool out of themselves.

Regroup, find a better candidate and see them in 2024.

I shouldn’t be surprised. They’ve thrown everything they can at him since the day he was sworn in. Yeah, Trump can still win, but I think the odds are slim.
Losing to Biden/Harris is bad enough, but we all know Biden won’t be running the country. Anyone who thinks he will be has **** for brains.
