The obvious questions- what do we do now?

I'm going to assume that both CT and Daryl Norris are out for the year- although nothing has been confirmed yet one way or the other.

At third base, Brayden Jones is the obvious replacement, but we might also see Nick Flair play now as well. We were going to redshirt Flair because of an injury, but from what I have heard, he is pretty close to being able to play. But for now, it's clearly Brayden's job.

As far as the outfield- I think either Hunter Renfroe or Tayor Stark are our best options in CF with CT out. Another player to keep an eye on is Tyler Fullerton, who has not played as of yet either- he may very well spend some time in the outfield. I don't like Demarcus Henderson in the outfield- he has had some problems out there.

So, I think we will see Woodruff in RF, Renfroe in CF, and Stark in LF.

The lineup might look something like this:

1. Frazier SS
2. Henderson 2B
3. Rea 1B
4. Porter DH
5. Renfroe CF
6. Woodruff RF
7. Slauter C
8. Brayden 3B
9. Stark LF

Of course, again we'll have to wait and see what the status of the injuries are.

but I swear to god... Over the last 4-5 years, I think we've had more baseball players get hurt and suffer season/career ending injuries than our entire football team has experienced over that same time period. In fact, I cannot remember the last season where we didn't have several guys in the injured list before the season even started. Is this in any way normal for a college baseball team or has the injury situation not been as bad as it seems?

and one of those guys was doing nothing more than swinging a bat. I actually don't think I've ever seen a guy get a serious knee injury just swinging a bat but that's exactly what Norris appeared to do.

in the first game of his senior season. A dislocated patella can be overcome, but it many times requires surgery that takes 12 to 15 months to recover. We chose to rehab without surgery to get my son back on the field before his senior year ended simply because he was not likely to get a chance to play in JUCO after the injury. He played the final game with a bulky knee brace.....but ....he played.

Norris is now at the mercy of some of the best knee guys in the business. Let's hope they see some positive "opportunity".

now it's mainly position players.

Brownlee should be back in four weeks and Ben Bracewell will be back for LSU.

It is bizarre- Brownlee has always been injury prone. CT hurt himself playing hard. Daryl sounds like a freak injury. It's just bad luck.

CT appeared to separate his shoulder and norris sprained ankle buts thats just me could be much worse or not as bad but on the way home cohen said this could be a costly win so sounds worse.

Bradford AND Norris both f'd up in the SAME DAMN GAME???? COME ON, MAN! Where the F was Ron f'n Cholk when this went down? I want to know where the F he was. MFer is behind this somehow.

Surely there is no way we really lose both of these guys for the year. If we did, we built this MFer on the biggest burial ground in mayan history.

shoulder doesn't tell you a whole lot either..........It could be as simple as a bruise or as serious as a dislocation or seperation..........Norris didn't walk off the field under his own power and Bradford was obviously in a lot of pain..........I've had a seperated shoulder and it hurts like hell.........I'm hoping that's not the case with CT but it wouldn't surprise me one bit from looking at how it happened..........

Assuming he separated his shoulder, does that put him out for the season? If it is his non-throwing shoulder, does that help? Or will that still keep him from swinging a bat?

is very long and continues beneath the Architecture Building, on across the parking lot, and then runs underneath Humphrey Coliseum continuing on to encompass all of Dudy Noble Field. All I can say is there must have been some major Indian battles that took place on what is now the MSU campus to require that much ground for burials.
