I think this is our offense when we only planned to throw the ball 18-20 passes to begin with. Yea, its boring but there's a balloon payment in the late third/early forth.

It's a very good performance against a team that doesn't give that up on the ground often. ND sure as hell didn't do it last year. They had 123.

I did, not great but there is Maryland that got 86 yds and they have been good vs run for a couple years now. They can play run defense very well
shapen was off. He hits one or two of those open receivers in the first half it’s a different discussion. Felt like a letdown game after the excitement of the beginning of the season. Hopefully that’s what it was and they play better next week. Still think Tennessee is much better than us, but we can have a punchers chance at home if the ball bounces our way and we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot

Northern Illinois is a decent MAC team. They’ll probably make a bowl game. The point spread was 24.5 and we covered it. Dominated the second half and ran for 292 yards. All in all, a positive performance, but the usual suspects here are just going to b!tch because it’s all they know to do.

You are pathetic, and your memory is bad. I'm the one that has been saying that Lebby should get another year no matter what. The improvement is there too, that's plain. You are extrapolating one post about the O looking bad in early in the first half, which it did, into a general blanket condemnation. That kind of crap is what's wrong with our country these days, not just our fanbase.
We really didn't play all that well. We did get better as the game went on. NIU is a bad football team. They beat 0-4 FCS Holy Cross by 2. NIU is a game that a good team playing well puts the lights out early. We will find out Saturday exactly what we have. I'm very interested to see. Hopefully we will be competitive.
Started the first quarter flat on both sides of the ball. Dominated Q2 - Q4. Deep ball was slightly off, but we adjusted.
