All depends on Caleb/Howard. If Caleb sits and Howard plays, not feeling great. If they both sit or both play I'll take Rutgers.

65-61 RU. Someone from Michigan gets a flagrant, hopefully their center and gets kicked out.

With or without Jett Howard, this is going to be a tougher task than Wisconsin. Their combo of Dickinson and Reed concerns me a lot if they go to that like they did at the end of the MSU game.

The good news is Michigan hasn't been a good road team this year. The bad news is they have momentum and should be motivated to play themselves into the tourney with the bubble being so weak.

Just don't have a good feeling about this one overall with Caleb being out

Assuming no Caleb:

UM with Jett Howard - UM 68, Rutgers 60

UM without Jett Howard - Rutgers 64, UM 60

I may be all wet on this take. But I'm thinking having an 80% Jett Howard in the game helps RU. Otherwise, they are swapping him out with some other four star recruit looking to take advantage of the opportunity.

Another probably dumb take: Caleb can be a huge difference maker in the PSU and Minnesota games. These teams rely on 2-3 guys to score all of the points so having Caleb neutralize one is huge. So you have to bench him against UM and improve the odds that he'll be healthy for those other games.

A gimpy Howard might be a net positive for Rutgers if he plays and is limited

I doubt he will be available on Sunday against Penn State.

Key will be if Cliff can play 32-35 minutes and neutralize Dickinson and Reed. If so, we win.
If not, and Cliff gets into foul trouble , Dickinson will eat Dean and or Woolfolk alive and we re in trouble.

I hear you. Given our very poor history against Michigan in the Pike era, it is hard to be optimistic, but my gut tells me RU finds a way to eek out a 1 point victory. 🤞🤞

I see us following a familiar script - better out of the gate offensively with struggles in the second half, but in this case we win it down the stretch at the stripe.

Michigan 34 23 - 57
Rutgers 34 29 - 63

This will be a massive test in how the team has learned to adapt since starter injuries.
This is about how I see it too. The game worries me despite it being at home... Not convinced we've found the solution to Mag's absence yet and that we can consistently play really good basketball.. Hopefully a few days of practice and better rest have improved things.
