100% on this it's not a post season bowl game their logo belongs no where on our hallowed ground! For Cause Termination offense for the Athletic Director to let this happen for less than $10 million to The Bulldog Initiative!
Lads in our area may or may not have used lighter fluid and burned our team’s initials in the opposition sidelineI remember as a young lad, several young lads that may or may not have included myself going to the football field of our arch rival about 2 weeks before our season ending rivalry game and spraying our own school initials in LARGE letters on the rivals field using a pump up sprayer, Roundup, and a touch of diesel right in front of their sidelines so they'd have to stand there and look at it the whole game. Looking back it was extremely dumb of us and costly for them to have to repair, but as young lads it was glorious to see that night. I'm still amazed "loose lips didn't sink tight ships" and that somebody didn't tell the wrong people and the perpetrators weren't caught and punished.
I think it’s more that FB has signed on as a multi-year sponsor of the game.Settitng the OM logo on our field concern aside since it isn't happening, how the 17 does having the egg bowl logo give the rivalry a bigger stage?
An egg bowl logo on a field doesn't give the game being played a bigger stage, at least not in any manner can think of.
That tweet suuuucked.
If they want to pay us, I’ve got no problem with that being on the field. Or not.I think it’s more that FB has signed on as a multi-year sponsor of the game.
Should be a sizeable chunk of change for both schools.
That logo would have to be huge for you to even be able to see the school logos.
Dead injuns might lead us to victory if that happened. Might even keep them from peeing on it.100% on this it's not a post season bowl game their logo belongs no where on our hallowed ground!

Makes me think of Harvey Updyke, of Toomer's Corner fame...I remember as a young lad, several young lads that may or may not have included myself going to the football field of our arch rival about 2 weeks before our season ending rivalry game and spraying our own school initials in LARGE letters on the rivals field using a pump up sprayer, Roundup, and a touch of diesel right in front of their sidelines so they'd have to stand there and look at it the whole game.
