Don't judge Golding by the Tulane game. Kiffin calmed down his QB's and coached them during the game. Kiffin is not coaching. GA could start out slow, but this is not the same GA team Ole Miss faced earlier.

bout to be wide open. I know you folks that no longer care about football aren't watching.
I care about football and basketball, but baseball is my sport. Just love it more and we (MSU) usually win consistently much more than the other 2 sports. Miami has a bunch of NCs (4-5 I think) in football too. They are without a doubt a college football blue blood. They are just now emerging from their own nuclear winter. Have to give Cristobal credit for the job he's done there.

If.... IF ... Alabama gets through this week, I like their chances v Oregon or Tech.

I'm concerned, OM gave them all they wanted in Athens.

I wonder how the extra long layoff will affect UGA?
OSU scored 10 in their previous game with no layoff. like A&M (and Miami), their offense just isn’t good. Georgia is a real contender to win it all.
Contender to win it all.

Football is like this sometimes. The "better" team doesn't always win. Let's hope Georgia plays good tonight.

I've always said that being on a sports team emulates life in so many ways. For that reason, all kids should play sports growing up . . . to learn valuable life lessons.

Yeah. Like all the kids with rich daddies get to play in the backfield. I played and put up with it because I thought you were supposed to. But I didn't make my sons do it. They are now great adults with education and real careers and families without lifetime pain from needless trauma, both physical and mental. Football coaches are by and large the stupidest scumbags on earth

Is it detrimental to have the bye?
With only a 12 team playoff, I think it best to have no byes. If they go to 16 or more, then maybe have a few byes. The only thing I want to see is the early round games be played in established Bowl games. No more campus games.....too unfair to the traveling opponent. All games should be at neutral bowl sites. At least some of the lower bowl sites can be used and have more interest from the general public.

That's good though. We want the teams who had better regular seasons to have an advantage.

Indiana deserves to get Alabama at home tonight. It keeps the regular season as meaningful as possible.

Completely disagree on bowls for playoff games. The better seeded team should host. It’s a reward for being the better team. The NFL playoffs aren’t at neutral sites and it’s the best playoff in sports. The only neutral site game should be the championship game

What worries me is fact that Ole Miss beat their asses last year. Yeah, I know each year is different but they also lead them by 9 points headed into the 4th Qtr this year in Athens. This game is on a neutral field and Ole Miss will have as many fans there as UGA. Plus, teams that have had byes (almost a month off) have all looked rusty. I hope I'm wrong (there's a first time for everything) but Ole Miss has a real chance tonight.
