Does anyone know what we(MSU) are actually willing to pay coach and his assistants to keep them? The one thing that does make me feel better is Templeton isn't the one that will be handling this project. Any info is appreciated...

He is a psychotic POS...that's why he got fired ...not because of on the field performance.

I'll be out!
You gotta have some standards.

but to play devils advocate, we didn't worry too much about standards when we hired Sherrill. As far as I know, Leach never had a TT team on probation. But like you, I wouldn't want him.

I'm not going to worry too much. If 7-5 (our most likely record) gets Mullen to a better job then so be it. We shouldn't talk about 4 million anything until we win 9 games in the regular season.

I would just like to see us build something here and not worry about losing a great coach. Guess we shouldn't worry about that...

of firing tennis balls at WR's at close range. I often wondered why we didn't do that after watching years, and years, and years of dropped passes. That has gotten better under Dan, but I still think that was a great drill.

I would like Leach as a coach if he paid more attention to the defensive side of the game. That's my beef with him. I would be scared that if he was the coach here that we would have a hard time outscoring people at times because the SEC is so good defensively. That's kind of what happened at Kentucky when Mumme was there. They put points on the scoreboard, but they would still end up at 6-5 because they couldn't stop anyone.

I could do without you. Easy choice.

Evidently, he isn't willing to put up with spoiled punks...........ala James.

What about spoiled punks do you find so attractive? Strange.

subject is being discussed at very high levels and we will not lose Mullen without a fight. What I like most about Mullen is we always seem to be pretty prepared and he gets alot out of the players he has and for the most part puts them in a postion to be successful. I guess what I am saying is he knows what he doing and has passion about his job. We need to hang onto him.

Except Leach is a better coach than Mumme. You wouldn't win any SEC titles with Leach as your head coach, but you aren't winning any with anyone else either.

That's the reasoning why I would take him. At least you know he'd have you winning football games consistently and at a good clip. A lot of SEC fans would have a hard time getting used to it because we're so trained on defense first that we think it isn't honorable to win a game 45-42. I'll take that just as soon as I'll take 10-7.
