The SEC is going to get hammered over this marijuana report.

The school's drug test and the NCAA's drug test are independent of each other. It's the school's drug test that don't vary across the board. I didn't know that till earlier.

They should drop testing for Marijuana all together. It does nothing but cause a headache for everyone involved (coaches, players, administrators).

Here's a 5 minute video by Penn Jillette Riping Obama on drug 'Hypocrisy'. Definitely worth watching. This is related to the criminalization of marijuana use. I don't smoke weed myself, but the penalties we give to people for smoking it is pathetic. At least the past 3 presidents of the US have admitted to using marijuana, and all were capable of still becoming the president of the US without needing any treatment. Just imagine if they'd been caught using.

More lenient for the stoners. They've chosen schools for much less of a reason.

and did other drugs. Too much of advantage that allowed them to create some great music. Unfair to bands like the Jonas Brothers who try doing it the right way.

there was an article a month or so back quoting unnamed oregon players rolling joints and talking about how pretty much the whole team smokes weed. and it really hasn't been mentioned since. the simple fact is that a lot of the under 40 crowd doesn't really care. hell, i think even a lot of the over 40 crowd doesn't care. or at the very least believes there are about a billions bigger issues to worry about than some college kids smoking a joint.

yeah i think the whole gateway drug ******** has been long debunked. weed isn't anymore of a gateway drug than alcohol or cigarettes.

that particular 'drug' is no more harmful than alcohol which is legal and should reflect similar standards of punishment.

For the record, I never did like the way it made me feel.

Steroids, perscription drugs, coccaine, those are things sports need to focus on.

why are we testing for anything other than performance enhancing drugs for athletics? I don't give a damn if they are doing pot other than I want our players sharp. Not sure how non-performance enhancing drugs are any of the NCAA or SEC's business.
