... that Delmon Robinson, Terrance Davis, and Tojo Patterson are all quitting the team. Anyone heard anything like this?

that we're really going to need delmon robinson this season.

I'd think we'd be able to work terrance davis into the spread, too

maybe mullens is runnin' them off

we can't afford ANY player casualties. It is just one thread though, maybe it's just some dumbshit making stuff up.

It seems as though all breaking MSU news posted on Gene's page is taken either directly from here or from Wardlaw.

For that reason, I put little credence in this rumor.

Showing little concern for Croom's recruits is not surprising to me. At least he wants them to quit. Croom let Andrew's sit on the bench and threw Carlson out to miss 15 yarders. I say let them go and start all over. None of them except Sherrod are SEC caliber anyway. Getting your asses handed to you 45-0 says alot about all of them to me.

All coaches want their own guys, but it might be a good idea to get some of those guys in the program before running people off.

just like Crooms did with Jackie's players. Everybody was giddy around here when Crooms was running off Jackie's "thugs"...Mullen is setting himself up to make sure he can sign 25 a year for the next couple of years

and hope he knows what the hell he is doing...I was willing to give Crooms 3 years until he lost to Maine. If Mullen loses to Jax St then I'll want him fired too...

I think we are planning to play most of our Freshman WR's coming in anyway. But I would rather keep our best returning WR if given a choice

guys weren't going to produce in the program. Seriously, I see very few on this team that can play SEC ball anyway. Let the freshman Mullen signed play and get some experience. Add Dixon and Sherrod and maybe a few more and go from there. Most of Croom's recruits have gotten to be worse football players, not better. Get the freshman out there and let them go. I bet they could lose 45-0 just as well as the sophs and jrs did last year. In fact, I bet by years end these freshman coming in could do better than 45-0. Get rid of most of them and start over. Recruiting will take off and recruits will see added playing time.

..although I would like to at least have some warm bodies at WR. Delmon would be the head-scratcher. He's garaunteed playing time and he would be affective if that hammy would heal up. Hell there was an article just the other day where Delmon was saying how much simpler the routes were, how excited he was, etc.

Sure WR is already an underperforming area and we need one of our better ones back, but most of our WR talent isn't much better than walk-ons. Hell didn't Auburn have WR walk-ons last year? They won 5 games. I'd love to win 5 games this year.

We do have a lot of freshmen coming in at the position as well. Sure they won't be stellar at least this year but could they be any worse than some we've had? If you could have Lance Long as a senior or Chad Bumphis as a freshmen, I'll take Chad and take my chances. While I doubt any of them will be a Julio Jones, I don't think it's beyond realistic to think 1 or 2 could easily contribute.

Could be they wouldn't buying into what Mullen was selling
Could be they saw what Mullen expected in the offseason
Could have been a series of small missteps by the players that finally ended up in the big heave-ho

Tojo is irrelevant. We never should've signed him anyway. But the other 2...wow.

Welcome to the starting lineup Chad Bumphis.

Tojo was 3rd string at safety and I'm guessing he didn't see a light at the end of the tunnel - maybe he wanted to play offense as well.

Hopefully the last note from Wardlaw about Davis staying is accurate - he will play some WR in the fall I would guess.

Delmon would be foolish to leave - he's a starter at WR probably and KR. Maybe the coaching staff got onto him about injuries/rehab/prep as Mullen did have some harsh comments for the guys that were getting injured and blamed it on poor preparation.

Who knows though. Very odd if he leaves.

I never want to hear him say anything about Stansbury running off players or benching them again. He just proved what we all know he is - a damned hypocrite.

For the record, I have supported Stans running the malcontents off, and I support Mullen doing the same.

Mullen deserves the benefit of the doubt right now...Stansbury has had 11 years worth of evidence

If Mullen is here 11 and we never do better than a Liberty Bowl (which equates to what Stansbury has done), i'll be on his *** too</p>

Winning an SEC championship and 2 SEC tournaments = a Liberty Bowl berth?

You are the dumbest sack of **** alive.
