gonna get pretty damn tiring for a 3 game televised series. I'm not sure he realizes that he doesn't have to yell it every pitch. If I sat near him, I would be annoyed as hell....and it has nothing to do with him being UM and me a State guy. It's just annoying.

The only more annoying thing is how many idiots say "dirt" back.
If you have the game on dvr.. watch the shots of the OF and their UM towels with Black "Throw it in the dirt" lettering on it.

Whoever does it now has no clue about timing. He just does it all the time. The other guy was creative and used it at good times.

Might want to get your facts straight before posting something like that.

I hadheard of the"Throw it in the dirt! Dirt!"cheer and figured it would be stupid, but I actually thoughtit sounded pretty good. The crowd was into it, and it wasn't overdone. Must have been the previous guy. The current guy sounded drunk doing it, too.

I believe Chip Clinton passed away in 2009, possibly even during the season. I may have that wrong.

He was downright funny at times with his heckling, and it wasn't just "Throw it in the Dirt", though that one is the one that gained the most fame. He had a voice too that you couldn't duplicate. He could yell for 9 innings from his seat at the top of the stands behind 3rd base, and you could hear him clearly out in right field. The guy was born to heckle.

I do agree though that the Throw it in the Dirt stuff has gotten out of hand now that he's no longer around to be the de facto heckle coordinator. The people that do it don't have the wit or the timing.

he coordinates his choice of jersey for each game, to whatever jersey color OM is wearing that day (yes he wears jerseys to every game). He was actually at the State series in Starkville last year. The dance that the OM team does, he does as well standing up.

Tool is the perfect word.
He sits up there with a person i assume is his grandmother. He wears a jersey to match whichever one the team is wearing. He wears Ole Miss Converse shoes to the games. He is annoying as ****! And he NEVER shuts up!
I'm not even going to go into detail about how incredibly GAY the Peanut Butter and Jelly deal is that he does during the first mound meeting every game.
As for the "Throw it in the Dirt" cheer. In my opinion... no fan base should value a cheer that is nothing more than begging the other teams pitcher to give you a run.

in front of this prick last night about 6 seats over. My 10 year old daughter asked what was wrong with "that guy". We moved in the 3rd inning. Even the OM fans in that section had looks on their faces like, "Here we go again".

just wanna mention that the cancer could still be correct as sometimes terminal illness victims will speed the process.

As far as the annoying fans that yell, that's baseball. It's a bonus to get some true entertainment from it.

but that is about the silliest little league **** I've ever heard at an SEC sporting event.
