Nonsense? His past? Explain why he will get it turned around there. As has been explained here sooooo many times, his win percentage at Georgia Tech shows he won't. It is impossible to overcome the past. And newsflash, Atlanta may have a bit more to offer than Corvallis
They do have more strip clubs

Is his career winning % better than 3-7? Is it better than .500? Getting it turned around doesnt suggest he is destined to win several National Titles, but he has only experienced 1 season of sub .500 football at GT. Atlanta is a dump IMO and has no more to offer than most of the other ACC schools that he recruits against.

If only. We have a segment of our fanbase that looks up to someone who wrote basically that word for word to the University president (he claims). It is very cute, considering the same guy claims to have turned down the job of University president.
You literally can't make this stuff up
I've asked you this before, who was that masked man? Is he on this board?

None of that matters. He may win 5 games this year, and that is the main indicator of his future record..... or something like that. I forgot exactly how it goes. There are usually several derps in there somewhere.

Good coach having a real rough year. Most of this thread is nonsense. He has experienced more success as a college coach than Riley. Thats not to suggest that I want him here. He will get another season to turn it around, and his past suggests that he will.
Get it turned around? This is his 8th year there. There shouldn't be anything to turn around. The excuses you people make for other coaches is just nothing short of stunning. Would you excuse so easily one of our coaches having a losing season in his 8th year? Come on. He has not accomplished anything at Georgia Tech of note. This is his second losing season there and his 3rd non-winning season. But-aw, he's just having a "tough year". I mean his greatness is just so obvious. I'm sure they'll be the favorites to win the national championship next year.

Uh, no-this is 2nd season of sub-.500 football football there. And he had one .500 season too. Why don't we talk about actual facts rather than what you make up?

lol. You okay? Did you just shoot several Red Bulls? You act like GT should be a National Powerhouse and im suggesting that he has done a fantastic job. I said he was a good coach.

You also say he hasnt won anything of note. He won the Orange Bowl last year and finished in the top ten.

Wow-an Orange Bowl win and a top 10 finish in 8 years. That Orange Bowl win and top ten finish was sandwiched in between two 7 win seasons and a 5 win season(at best). So tell me, which of those seasons was the unusual one? And you say he has done a fantastic job? His winning percentage is only marginally better than that of Chan Gailey, his predecessor. Gailey never had a losing season there either.

My first post was regarding past success, and that was the narrative of the conversation I had with 4.6.3. Your fabricated outrage is a waste of keystrokes. I dont get too terribly fired up over posters that go from 0-60 just to argue.

I'm not here just to argue. I would not have said a word on here if I didn't see people making every excuse in the world for a guy who really hasn't accomplished much of anything in 8 years at a school when they would never make any such excuses for our own coaches. Except, I guess for Paul Johnson if he was here because I guess running the option means you don't have to actually win much to prove your worth.

Can you read? I went out of my way to say he didnt do a fantastic job. I said he was a good coach. Sweet lord. This is useless. I feel like im trying to convince my 2 1/2 year old that eating the dirt off the bottom of her shoe is a bad thing. The struggle is real.

All this infighting points to one thing.. N isn't very good. Has nothing to do with GT, the option or the 90s. A bad N team equals mass hysteria lol... Why bash GT, Frost or Trev when they have nothing to do with what we're seeing? The offense is fine playing calling just needs to be better. Plus didn't I see the toss and G- option last week? Coaches are trying to implement some core N traits just need to rep them a little more and get to recruiting. Stop hating on people that's not even wearing red to make you feel better about this season..

I'm pretty sure people bringing up GT isn't hating on them but pointing out to those who have been calling for Johnson, or at least, a return to option football, that this might not be the answer.

Has nothing to do with hating on another team. It does have something to do with Nebraska in that there are those who are convinced this is the way to go. And they are in a worse way than we are after an 11 win season a year ago.

Not saying it won't work, just saying be careful what you wish for. Again, not hating on GT. That's not how I read it at all.

It's like people have been purposely watching GT games just to run back to this board to make a point that the option has failed Paul Johnson. It's ridiculous if you ask me and to those wanting PJ Nebraska has never been that option heavy or dependant.

This makes sense, doesn't it? If there are those who say we should have gone after Paul Johnson, doesn't this have a bearing on that?

I get what you're saying, why should we even care... valid question. But some do... and this is a husker football message board where 8 years ago people were lobbying hard for Paul Johnson. Are there still some wanting to go in that direction? Not nearly as much... but it's still a football message board where all kinds of things are talked about. At least this one is football related.

I love the option but many don't realize that Nebraskas offense under Osborne in the 80's and 90's wasn't a true option offense, more or less a 3 yards cloud of dust offense with a good dose of option football mixed in. PJ's offense is a true option offense and its success depends heavily on the option working. The bad thing about it is that their passing game is about the most ineffective I've seen and does not compliment the run game too well.

Oh you sad, sad, sad bloner. I know you mouth-breathers think college football ceased to exist in 2014, but sadly for you it kept right on going into 2015.
Crickets. Not surprising at all. Agenda was killed and the roach scurried back in the dark.

I don't get this guy. Any self respecting Bloner would be down in their fallout shelter right now awaiting what will most likely be happening to their cult leader this weekend. Yet here he is, worrying about Nebraska. Weird.

Wow... I knew something would happen to Bo this weekend, but honestly my money was on getting blown out by NDSU. I mean, that's his history against teams with a pulse... But what actually happened was even better. Going full Iowa game 2013 is just perfection.

Bump for the resident math expert. Funny how he never posts in other threads, exsprcially ones after a Husker win.

That's how it works. Poor bloner. When should it be figured? Lol. You are so very sad. Hell, by your bloner logic Mike Riley has not coached a game at Nebraska yet, but it doesn't stop your bitching.
