One thing I like that FOX is doing is the shading of the greens so you can see the high and low spots better.

when its going bad for tiger....all the acting comes out. its not enough that a shot goes way left or right....he lets the club fly out of his hands. no one else does this stuff.

couple more holes....he will start limping or working his back/wrist. something will be "tweaked".

Wow Tiger...Holy WTF?
Yips. Mental yips won't allow him to do what he can do on range. It's not baseline shifts, it's not technical, it's not reverting back to old swing patterns. It's a mind that is so messed up that will not allow you to produce the swing.

If it's with a putter it seems easier to work around with long putter or grip but he seems to have it now with driver and chipping.

Totally mental not allowing him to do what is natural. And yes, it's extremely hard to climb out of.

When he climbed out of past swing changes we had not seen the yips as far as I've ever seen. This is the first time in his career I've seen it and it started at his tournament in December. You can come back from swing changes and he's proven that but this isn't a swing change deal. This has grown into a mental deal. And while I'd hesitate to say a 39 year old golfer is done, I will say this will be the toughest comeback he has yet to face. Many do not resurface from this.

Did I see that right?
Tiger Woods +10 tied for 152 place

If so he should just go home.

That was a tough group to watch...Might be the most carnage I have ever seen from a group ever.

Tiger needs every ounce of talent that God gave him to get out of this serious rut he is in right now. Maybe he already has been working with one privately, but he really needs to start working with a sports psychologist to work on his mental issues. I do not care if he goes and gets Butch again (not happening), this is a complete mental meltdown for him right now. Would go as far as to say he may need to take the rest of the year off from golf.

Buddy of mine was in Columbus OH last week and was following Tiger when he shot over 80. He has seen Tiger many times over the years. He said this time around he just looks old, worn out, and does not look happy at all on the course.

If Tiger continues to play like this, how long before he no longer has an automatic exemption to play in the US Open? That would be surreal if Tiger couldn't qualify to play in some of the Majors.

And how long before he loses his card if he continues this ****?

What is the protocol/rules/etiquette for practice rounds? Those things must take 10 hours for some of the groups.

Nah. They're not bad at all. It's really relaxed and I prefer going to practice rounds versus Thur-Sun. Normal golf etiquette off the tee but after that it's pretty quick (even with guys hitting multiple chips/putts). Players don't really wait on each other on approaches/putts and go ahead and pull the trigger...

... unless it's a money game.

I actually feel sorry for Tiger and am worried about him at this point. Most of this is self-induced, but his fall has been so great, and nothing is going right for him in his life. One has to wonder if he will reach some sort of breaking point.

What do you guys think of the course? Very odd looking for a US Open, but beautiful in many ways. Greens look awful though.

That being said, the top of the leaderboard, e.g., Johnson, Stenson, Reed, Speith, Day, Phil, is plenty legit, so at least it is identifying the best players . . . so far.

Tiger is beyond terrible. Just stop until you get your game back together.

He's got 3 more years for the US Open. Champions in the past 10 years.

There is a special exemption category however, and he would obviously get that if he is at least somewhat competitive. If.

I like it. I'm not one to expect all golf courses be perfectly manicured and carpeted. Kind of a throw back to when to the game began across the ocean. I'm guessing the greens are actually smoother than they look on TV. That would be the only legit complaint IMO.

Tiger right now, would have trouble shooting par at MCC. He needs to refocus, get his ish together and try to fire for every pin. Hit 5 wood off the tee, and go low. Something in the 60 or under range should get him under the cut line. But too bad for him he has to play all 18 holes, not 13 so I would say a 60 is out of the equation.

Chill, T152. maybe make a move for tied for T122. Fest what are you hearing out there in the Needle City about Tiger's mind set for today ? Is T122 a possibility ? I am waiting for your report before putting anymore prop bets in. Thanks, brah.

NSFW Black Dudes needs to be on Tiger, it would be better than the tourney itself.

Play with crap and get some on you. Sorry Rickie, you are playing with crap. LOL!!! Don't know if tiger is done but he sure looks like it. A little humility won't hurt him.

Jamie lovemark is a good story. Very talented with lots of expectations a couple of years ago. Suffered injury and just now getting back.

It's more than humility, he's already had plenty of that.

Hell, at Memorial he was in last place and had to go off 1st and play by HIMSELF, right? At a tournament he pretty much owns, no less. Doesn't get much more humbling than that...

What tiger has become is some peoples, not mine, nightmare: irrelevant. Many, many other better stories than his now.

After Tiger skulled that 3-wood yesterday on 18, I actually felt sorry for him for the first time during this whole ordeal. The look on his face was not anger, or a wincing of pain as usual, but an acknowledgement that his game is in absolute shambles and he's clueless on what to do to fix it.

Another ? for Festivus that I don't know the answer to. Lets say the amateur, Campbell, finishes strong(T2). Can he forgo his amateurism and collect the check or is that something he has to declare before the tournament?
