There are three pros under par at the start of the day. They had rain last night in Pittsburg. Scoring should be better, if you stay out of the rough. If you do get into the tall stuff, hit and hope. That’s your only chance.

As of about 3:02, there are two under par, leaders just now going good.
And a little moisture falling.

Wonder how long the Oakmont Members weren't allowed to play so they could grow the roughs high as jungles. Tony Finau just isn't doing much lately. I don't think he has an aggressive enough ego to win big. I do like Hovland and Adam Scott has always been a favorite of mine too.

Adam Scott is making a very respectable charge. Or he was until he just pushed a shot out of the rough (240 yard 5 iron). Short sided himself in a deep, green side bunker.

I'd hate to be a member paying outlandish dues and not be able to play the course for months. I suppose if you can afford it it's not that big a deal though.

And he almost holed the bunker shot. Looks like maybe a foot away.

That was a fun 17th. Who among us has the Hovland shot from that rough? Scott with the money putt from 12. Things might be interesting tomorrow.

Adam Scott in the final group tomorrow along with Sam Burns. Spaun and Hovland next to last.

Final pairing just now teeing off. Both Scott and Burns are in the middle of the fairway.

Hovland may still make a run at this thing too. Spaun, on the other hand, is completely melting down

My guy JJ suffering from if he didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all. I've seen unfortunate bounces off the stick and then there's that.

Was watching but wanted something a little more exciting so I went outside and watched some paint dry. I'm back and see. Back now and see I didn't miss much.

Would they be playing right now if not the us open? Those fairways are sloppy as hell.

Would like to see Burns win it. It’s going to come down to who can just hit par

Stood next to Sam’s wife and Bear, their one-year old, at the Master’s on the ninth hole. She is so nice. Sam went straight for his family, rather than head straight for the back side. I am pulling hard for Sam to win, but Oakmont is making this hard.

Need Burns/Scott to finish strong for my pickem and to get a nice payday. Needless to say, they are stressing me out.

What a finish by Spaun!! He just made the Ryder Cup, the FedEx playoff, and now is a major champion.

I realize the conditions were completely different, and the course is like 400 yards longer now, but how the Hell did Johnny Miller shoot a 63 on that course in 1973?

I looked it up, and he had 9 birdies and a bogey. Birdied the first four holes. And he won a whopping $35,000. But that's in 1973 dollars, equivalent to about $255,000 today.
