I was thinking he would be gone for good but I have changed my mind. I think he will be back playing in the near future. Not that I want him to but I think he will be back.

He's done for this season. He'll rehab his image over the next year and be on a roster next year.

I'm 50/50 on that. The video is too hard to forget. I'm having a tough time believing an owner would give him a second chance. The problem isn't as much of a media distraction in the locker room, as much as it insinuates you are not concerned with or can look past domestic violence. Long story short, If an owner gives him a second chance, he is basically defining his personal belief system.

Not disagreeing with you. I do think there is a chance he will be back.

Reasons:
1. There are a lot of crazy's out there. That’s why OJ, MJ and Beretta were walking the streets for a while.
2. Sympathy for the victim. She is out begging people to forgive her husband. Her lively hood is being effective as well.
3. The NFL own rules on domestic violence.
4. The Union will go all in for him. They will go to court and argue why now and not in February. The NFL set the precedence whey they only gave him a two game suspensions. Film or not they knew he knocked the crap out of her.

I agree it could be next season but I think it could only end up being six games. Hope everyone understands I am not advocating his return. I am just speculating. I am not a big NFL fan. I follow the Saints and that's about it.

"Her lively hood is being effective as well." A boring suburb can be just as effective as a lively hood.

No doubt Rice will play again.

If you can kill someone and come back, then why not for assault.

See Donte Stallworth and Leonard Little..

But smoke some weed and you are banned for life..

So once somebody commits domestic violence, they are forever unemployable? That seems a little crazy. If we're not willing to lock people up for life for domestic violence, it seems weird that we would say anybody employing them when they are not locked up is not concerned with or can look past domestic violence. If you should be disqualified from holding a job because of it, I'd just as soon make the prison sentence match that. No sense in letting violent people out of jail and then saying they shouldn't ever be able to have a job.

Admit (on a job app) to Domestic Violence and see how many calls you get

asking you to come in for an interview...outside of the NFL.

I didn't say that. What I am saying is that his actions may have permanently altered his career path. Playing in the NFL is privilege, not a right. And he MAY not be afforded that privilege anymore. Not once did I say he was unemployable. He might be unemployable to such a public position though. My personal opinion is that he deserves a job, just not in the NFL. He can always work at Smoothie King, Gold's Gym, or Bullock Toyota.
