Sigh, I was playing around with the wording and it clearly didn't go well. It's a flop of a low brow attempt.
I thought less. But as I look back to my time there, the majority of my friends were from the city. In my opinion, that’s one of loyola’s greatest assets - it’s network. I grew up in palatine and truly believe that fremd and palatine are terrific schools, but the Rambler network is enormous. I had the opportunity to meet kids from all over the Chicagoland area. I am shocked by the number of alums that are connected with the school in one way or another. Fantastic for business development, etc. Frankly, I think most of the CCL schools (SR, MC, Rice) are similarly situated.

It looks like the entire LA program is out to prove that the second half of their playoff game was a fluke last year. Tonight’s freshman final score: LA 60 NT 0.
The score was LA 42 Phillips 16 with the backups playing the second half.
NT freshmen might be having an off year. Last week York won 48-20, and from what I understand it was 48-6 on its way to a much bigger blowout before York pulled everybody and put the brakes on.
As bad as the score looks, LA really wasn't trying to pile it on. Every kid that traveled played at least a quarter yesterday, and even those backups took it to NT. Unfortunately LA can't sub out their entire set of 1s because then they won't have enough players for the B game on Saturday against NT. So the 1s that were still in, were only in because of the lack of available players for LA. I think there was only one deep pass thrown all game, LA just had everything going for them on the ground and on defense. NT has some talented freshman that aren't being utilized enough, so I think the coaching is a big problem there, because the NT freshman got destroyed by LA last year too. With that being said, I know that the LA soph team is a little worried for tonight because NT have improved ALOT from freshman to soph. It also doesn't help that NT lost their starting QB who is a pretty good athlete.
You're probably think of the sophs. That was a close game that came down to the wire but the Ramblers sophomores walked away with the 16-8 victory.
One it is freshman .......so LA fans don"t get to crazy - lots of thing happen between freshman and junior year- seen it first hand.....lots of kids stop playing , don't grow, play another sport, etc.....so kudos for the moment - long term doesn't guarantee anything translates to the higher level , but also doesn't mean it can't provide a glimpse........of what might happen ....just not a guarantee.........Hear LA fans joining Trevian Booster club to get tickets........!
I wonder what some of the more unique wagers on this game may include. Tins of caviar, bottles of aged scotch, steakhouse dinners ...

It looks like the wonderful folks at New Trier have taken down the link. The rumor in Ramblerville is that NT withheld a bunch of tickets and refuse to sell them to LA parents of Sophomore players, so they can not attend their kid's game. I do not know whether there is any merit to this, but heard it from someone very close to the Loyola community - a very reliable source. LA is hosting an event for folks that could not get tickets and plan to stream the game live in the east gym at LA, but NT is making it nearly impossible by withholding streaming information. Very odd. A page out of the Nashville Predators playbook?
That is simply terrible if true. They must be figuring that the Soph parents would stay for the Varsity game and thereby less seats for their fans. Still bad policy as far as I am concerned.

Hoping the varsity game isn't as poorly connected as it has been for this sophomore game. Anyone else having problems with it? Edit: It's doing much better.

Seems their traffic algorithms are slow to boost the pipe but it does seem to catch up eventually.

Last comments re...War on the North Shore.....1. New Trier has a really nice new renovated stadium - just wish they didn't have to spend 40 minutes talking about it before the game pushing the start time way back - when incoming storms where on the way 2. Stadium packed on both sides prior to the rain - If I was a New Trier booster - didn't seem like a lot of fans stuck around after the rain delay........pretty empty on the home side?.....3. Round 1 goes to LA .. we'll see what happens next year.....great to see those two teams playing each other again - hopefully continues for a while !

Hmmm......Brian Doll said that - I think he would not say that...... where is the quote coming from and is it confirmed from what source - local paper, twitter feed, gossip from the local bars........Brian Doll knows exactly what to expect when playing LA - to me the comment does not make any sense.......
Wow - that is unusual for a coach to be that aggressive in a public format (well except for one coach on Twitter on select days in the evenings).
If I were an LA fan, student, Alum - I would be fired up. I would also plan to runnIng clock them next year. “Sweep the leg,.. no mercy”
