yes, Brian athey was elite. Had Stewart remained, I'm sure we could've landed blue chipper Blaine Stewart to form an elite "Athey to Stewart" tandem.
I understand that some people can't ignore the endless baiting by Paper AND not everyone was a fan of BS (me included) but considering the totality of all events do you really think that comment adds any credibility (in any manner) or actual humor to your post ?

Most of you guys don't know Bill Stewart as well as me. Remember, he was a Tron Martinez fumble away from losing to Marshall. Had we lost that game, "Gomer" would have been a kind name to him. And no one has yet to answer my question. Why did Stewart leave so many schollies unfilled if he was a great recruiter???
Doc Holiday of the Stewart regime recruited some elite talent to WVU. When Doc left we started offering scholarships to every friends nephew, cousin, and donors kid who had played midget league football. His last class was a joke. Most of they players flushed out and never saw the field. Dana didn't go much better. All of his good players came out of JUCO where they already proved that they were good. If Dana has to evaluate them we end up with kids like Jordan Thompson who has almost no production.
