I had this golden retriever with a gimpy paw. Made me feel terrible. So I took him to MSU's vet school and now he's fine. And when we were driving back from Starkville there was the most beautiful field full of daisies and sunflowers with miniature ponies and kittens frolicking together in the early morning dew and then a big rainbow suddenly appeared and I felt warm all over. Thanks MSU!

I love lamp.
No, seriously, I love being a part of something that is so torturous that it bonds me in some way to anyone else that wears maroon. Why would anybody put themselves through what we do unless we truly love it? Bama fans see each other street and say hey that guy shops at Walmart too. I see a guy with a State tag in Florida, I know that guy understands my agony.

Mississippi State Athletics Stockholm Syndrome (MSASS)

Mississippi State Athletics Stockholm Syndrome, or capture–bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which dubmass hostages in Starkville express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their athletic teams, sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of direct abuse from their captors for an act of kindness. The FBI's Hostage Barricade Database System shows that roughly 19.87% of MSU victims show evidence of MSASS and express their feelings on internet message boards as a coping mechanism.

Unfortunately it is very difficult for those with MSASS to ever return to normal social life and instead chaos ensues online as their team continues to lose games in the most predictable ways.

This post and mcdawg's post sum it up. I will say this though, it takes bigger Girodos to be a proud State fan than it does to be a fan of Bama, LSU, UGA, etc. MSASS should be added to the SP dictionary.

Nice, cool Fall evening walking to Garner listening to faux bells of carillon tower.
