Tearing those rims up, at the next level. Wish we could have had him for three years.
Dude really didn't like Cal but ended up with him anyway. I guess money will make you suffer through a lot.Tearing those rims up, at the next level. Wish we could have had him for three years.
Ya, he met Hubie Davis in Lexington even before cal left. AMFDude really didn't like Cal but ended up with him anyway. I guess money will make you suffer through a lot.
Also, was done with both him and Z after the mocked UK when Cal left.
They did? What happened?Dude really didn't like Cal but ended up with him anyway. I guess money will make you suffer through a lot.

Can't remember exactly what was said or what forum it was on but there was a video leaked of them laughing about how no one would play here without Cal. And this was during a time they were supposedly undecided if they were staying or going. They did? What happened?

“ No one would play here without CAL” ?????????Wasnt wrong to be fair
Wasn’t right to be fair. Kentucky has had a little bit of talent before Cal and will wager a years worth of salary that they will continue to get equal or better the talent of Theiro and Z.Wasnt wrong to be fair
Theiro wouldve been popes best player btw, certainly best nba playerWasn’t right to be fair. Kentucky has had a little bit of talent before Cal and will wager a years worth of salary that they will continue to get equal or better the talent of Theiro and Z.
Really? He couldn't lead his teams out of the second round with lottery picks flanking him. And I really don't care about their NBA results. Happiest time as a UK fan was during the 90's and none of those players were max contract NBA talent.Theiro wouldve been popes best player btw, certainly best nba player
Well I'm happy for youReally? He couldn't lead his teams out of the second round with lottery picks flanking him. And I really don't care about their NBA results. Happiest time as a UK fan was during the 90's and none of those players were max contract NBA talent.
My favotite time as a uk fan was that 8 year stretch in the 2010s with some fun teams in cals last yearsReally? He couldn't lead his teams out of the second round with lottery picks flanking him. Cool, Im happy for you. Some people like watching underachievement. My favotite time as a uk fan was that 8 year stretch in the 2010s with some fun teams in cals last years
Or some ppl understand you arent going to win every year, but will enjoy the privilege to have a top 10 roster every year loaded with stars.Cool, Im happy for you. Some people like watching underachievement.![]()
'93-'98 best years of uk bball in my 51 years..My favotite time as a uk fan was that 8 year stretch in the 2010s with some fun teams in cals last years
Of course you're never going to win every year but having a top 10 roster every year loaded with stars should give you more titles than you have NIT bids, or 16 loss seasons, or 1st round losses, or second round losses.Or some ppl understand you arent going to win every year, but will enjoy the privilege to have a top 10 roster every year loaded with stars.
I would say 91-98 but no doubt the most exciting period of UK basketball in your life and it isnt even close.'93-'98 best years of uk bball in my 51 years..
U gotta get real lucky to win a title too, all these schools and only one can win we see great teams all the time loseOf course you're never going to win every year but having a top 10 roster every year loaded with stars should give you more titles than you have NIT bids, or 16 loss seasons, or 1st round losses, or second round losses.
Is it too much to ask to have more titles than Baylor during that time. Or UCONN that actually fired their incompetent coach that had as many titles? or go to more title games than Butler?
You said you were 21 years old.My favotite time as a uk fan was that 8 year stretch in the 2010s with some fun teams in cals last years
Correct, remember heading to bball practice and in the parking lot my dad would show me KAT hs tapeYou said you were 21 years old.

So would you rather fall short without the horses to compete or fall short with the horses to compete (+the more entertaining product)That's why the list of National Title winners is just a bunch or nobodies. Or you could learn the game and know that the list of National Title winners are usually the most talented with a great coach. We had the talent but unfortunately, we had one of the few coaches that could piss that much talent away.![]()
So you weren’t even into basketball at 10 years old but your Dad was a basketball fanatic that would show you game tape walking into practice. Gotcha.Correct, remember heading to bball practice and in the parking lot my dad would show me KAT hs tape
Those moments are the main reason I got into Kentucky basketball and the sport as a whole
If you're falling short it really doesn't matter. As far as more entertaining...lol all but maybe three yrs of Cal were some of the worse basketball ive ever seen.So would you rather fall short without the horses to compete or fall short with the horses to compete (+the more entertaining product)
That malik monk yr was the most fun ive ever had watching uk basketballSo you weren’t even into basketball at 10 years old but your Dad was a basketball fanatic that would show you game tape walking into practice. Gotcha.
What was your favorite part of the beginning of that 8 year run? Watching game tape of Boogie or getting potty trained?
We all know you’re trolling dude.
You need to watch more basketballThat malik monk yr was the most fun ive ever had watching uk basketball
Fun year but not even in the top three of the 8 year span YOU referenced. That malik monk yr was the most fun ive ever had watching uk basketball
It was my favorite, doesnt mean it has to be ursFun year but not even in the top three of the 8 year span YOU referenced.
You really should go back and watch some Pitino era UK games. They are available for free online we were very good and played a very exciting brand of basketball. Do us a favor and revisit this after you have done so. The first half of the '96 LSU game is about as good as it can get. That malik monk yr was the most fun ive ever had watching uk basketball
I’d take it a year further in each direction…92-99. Seven E8’s in eight years, and the one that didn’t make the E8 still went 27-7 and won SEC tournament'93-'98 best years of uk bball in my 51 years..
You have no idea what it was like pre Cal then. It was just as good maybe even better at some points.Correct, remember heading to bball practice and in the parking lot my dad would show me KAT hs tape

Pitino had some kinda of magic wand back then. I do believe he's one of the best coaches ive seen and has won everywhere he has been but it was a different level back then.So a quick question to all the ones saying the 90s. While I can agree..what was different about UK back then? I know the differences in the game today and then but I'm strictly asking about UK.
Was it just the coach? What was a big difference? Was the head people more involved? Pitinos is that good?
Just go back and watch the tourny run in 93 staring in the Sec tournament. If anyone could watch that stretch and not come away knowing that was the best time to be a UK fan then its best not talking to that person again. You really should go back and watch some Pitino era UK games.
