And we lead the nation in least amount of fouls a game. Are the refs calling it unfair every game?

Istill can't get over everyone on nafoom and the announcers calling for Varnado's ejection after their player threw a blatant elbow first. They're acting like it was Kermit Washington punching Rudy Tomjanovich. Gimme a damn break.

They have not taken the football and basketball losses well at all.

JV hit him in the back of the shoulders and as he was going down it looked like he also got him in the back of the head. it was close but you could see he didn't hit the guy in the head. yet their guy pops JV in the chin with an elbow.

yes, he got shoved in the back of the shoulder (NOT the head) by JV, but he flailed to the ground like he had been slammed by Shaquille Oneal. And I saw NO reason for him to stick his elbow in JV's chin other than to be an *******.

Considering their entire defensive game plan was to hand check, grab, and even pull jerseys, and the only reason they were even in the game was because the refs decided to let all of that go for long stretches at a time, I don't think they have much reason to whine.

Speaking on that, UT seems to live on that style of over-aggressive defense, and I think it's a smart move. Basically UT hounds the crap out of you knowing the refs either will or will be forced to let most of it slide. The way SEC refs call games, teams should do that more often.

If the refs had been as dumb as the announcers,UM would have traded a ****** player for a good one. Seriously, do the announcers really think it's a good idea to provide an incentive for coaches to tell crappy players to takecheap shots against good players, hoping there will be a retaliation?

It's turned it into a low-scoring, plodding game because it's almost impossible to do anything on offense when you're being fouled constantly with nothing being called. If it weren't for the 3-point shot, average scores would be in the 50s. The game would be a lot more exciting if the refs would call fouls. Initially, the games would be free throw shooting contests, but within a season or two teams would adjust the way they play defense and scoring would go up 10 points per game.

for the hand checking and all that. Basically it's all just so inconsistent and that's what is so bad about it
