There have to be some changes made on the football team, and the first one should be, don't come with the BS of execution errors by the players. The Head Coach is responsible for the team, so don't lay it on the players of not executing. If they didn't, it is the coaches fault.
We've all heard enough about the youth of our team, but there wasn't much difference in the two offenses in youth. In fact, Louisville played more Freshmen then we did. The big difference was in the coaching, from the Head Coach to all the assistants.
When your offense can only produce one touchdown, that on the opening drive, and your defense produces two touchdowns, and you have a 24 to 3 lead at halftime, but can't score in the second half, that's the coaches fault. I don't like Pertino, but he made changes at the half, while Coach Stoops looked like a "deer in the headlights."
Our players appear to have no discipline, as evidenced by the number of penalties they commit. That alone tell me we are NOT a well coached team.
You can recruit good players, but if you can't coach them, it doesn't help. I don't know what changes Stoops is going to make in the off season, but one thing for sure, he has to make a lot of changes. UK can't afford to buy him out, but can they afford to keep him over one more year if changes aren't made? Let us know what you as fans think.

Definitely we have to shake things up. Some staff changes must be made.

What puzzles me is if you think back to last season, the first 5 games we looked like world beaters. We played well, the coaches put together good game plans, and they coached well during the games. This year at too many times it looks like the Keystone Kops on the field and a Chinese Fire Drill on the sideline. I would love for someone smarter then me to hypothesize how that could happen.

I think it be pretty obvious that changes are needed. to me its pretty much top to bottom. what worries me is that is it that the head coach is maybe micro managing the whole thing to the point that he is keeping the skill coaches from doing their job as they would like to do. which is the way they want to do it!

My son went to the game in my place and his comments were similar to yours... He made his observations by watching the interaction of coaches and players on the sideline... I like Stoops and am certain that he wants it bad.. He's getting his *** handed to him and he hasn't any answers... The pressure to win is greater now than ever... He's not going anywhere for a 2-3 years for sure. It's Stoops call to make the adjustments... Maybe he will, maybe he won't... I'll even go so far to say that keeping him might be the best option in the long term... If he really believes in himself and the abilities of his coaches then he can turn it around... If he can continue to move his plan forward through recruituing he might make it work... But I really wonder if he isn't a bit shell shocked by his lack of success and less confident of the path he's on????... I've seen enough bad football as a UK fan... Name me one Head Coach at KY since Charlie Bradshaw that went on to become a better HC after leaving, retiring or getting fired from here? I can't....
