Fires Croom after this season unless something just blows up. It would be devastating to Byrne after giving him a $800,000 raise last year. You can forget that angle, it ain't happening this year. Now, WM and some other asses had better get it together real quick. I know what Croom said, but when the axe starts to fall, you'll see who's lined up on the wall and it want be CC. Talked to a guy today that claimed to have spoken with a couple of assistant coaches last week. He indicated that they are feeling a real sense of urgency about the Vandy game. He said one of the coaches told him that the pressure was mounting weekly. I'm not talking about message board vodder either. Take it for what its worth.

I don't see it either. My issue is that say we don't can him this year and next year we get 7 wins then in 2010 we go back to 3-8. Are we really getting anywhere? I guess I would just like to know on the front end of how many times we can do well one year with the following year tanking the season. That would let me know when I can then start to have some expectations again. Meanwhile the baseball and basketball program would have my funds.

I believe Crxxm's raise had more to do with us staying competitive with our salary than it had to do with his merits or lack there of. I've heard changes are on the horizon but the extent of those changes are yet to be determined.

Nobody was going to hire Crxxm last year and falling *** backwards into 8 wins wasn't a reason either. Crxxm would have stayed and we would have the same record this year. Stupid, stupid move.

I think that those of you who make Greg Byrne out to be this amazing wunderkind maverick of an AD are going to be sorely disappointed when he fails to live up to your expectations and you realize he has people to answer to just as LT did. I'm all for sinking the Slytanic and sending his sorry *** packing but I just don't think that Byrne's going to do it. Prove me wrong, wonderboy.
