There is now a YouTube video telling us not to make signs...

in which the situation was reversed. What are the odds that the Ole Miss administration or SEC administration or who the hell ever would be encouraging, and also enforcing, that the Ole Miss student section "take it easy" on Rick Stansbury?

I say the odds of that are ZERO.

So, yes, this is 17ing ridiculous.

People are acting like we're bringing this on Kennedy. I say nay. Kennedy brought this on himself. This could be the very reason that SEC basketball has fallen off the planet. It's boring. This is a huge storyline. Could you imagine what the Cameron Crazies would do to Roy Williams if he was in this situation? Oh my gosh... He'd never make it out of there alive. People WANT to see this kind of stuff... Instead we're acting like a bunch of tards....

...or Bob Jones University?

I hope all of you MSU fans, students & alumni are proud of the way your university is circling the wagons around a low-life cretin like Andy Kennedy.

Andy Kennedy might conduct drunken brawls with foreign cab drivers at away games, but he will always have an advocate & understanding ally in Mississippi State University.

"Students should refrain from displaying posters ridiculing Andy Kennedy's alleged cab driver beating and/or his wife's lawsuit alleging loss of sex life. Students should in now way question AK's size, stature, or erectile abilities. No comparisons should be made between the number of children Rick Stansbury has and the number of children AK has. Furthermore, AK's mug shot should not be displayed. There should also be no references to bail, Richard Schwartz, Dickie Scruggs, or any other attorney, judge, or law enforcement person.

etc, etc, etc,...."

....if Andy Kennedy worked for a conference that embraced a moral code, his idiot *** would be out of a job right now.

But since the SEC is the most hypocritical institution in America outside of congress, Kennedy is afforded the luxury of the SEC blaming everybody for Kennedy's woes except Kennedy.

Then as an added extra luxury, Kennedy's biggest rival treats Kennedy like a vitimized elitist & makes videos claiming the real villians are the MSU fans who dare heckle poor Andy.

Exactly. This is not a MSU problem. It is a AK/KK problem.

If they would keep their name out of the media in embarrassing situations, there is no story. No one forced AK to have late night 'beverages' at an 'establishment'. His wife should have known what the public reaction would have been when she chose to go to the courthouse and file a lawsuit of the nature that she filed. I have no sympathy for them.

I hope someone calls the ACLU, which is not my favorite group BTW.

Rediculous! The Dawg Pound Rock... An attempt to ban the Cowbell... And now some freakin signs! As long as the student body allows themselves to be pushed around... The more we look like the SEC's puppet.

they just mentioned profane, vulgar, or derogatory signs. What sort of "Meese standards" (I know it when I see it) will be applied to "derogatory" is anybody's guess, but this pretty much is in line with the Facebook e-mail recieved yesterday:
The SEC has requested that no signs defaming Coach Kennedy or his family be allowed. The MSU athletic department will support the SEC's request.
.... No one is saying not to bring signs or get crazy. That is what the HUMP is all about, but leave the Kennedy's out of it.
Personally, I think Kimber-related humor might be right up on the line of appropriateness, but she did file a lawsuit which is public record, so it's out there. And A.K. is fair game. But now it's game time.
Sweet mother of pearl, this Raycom feed is BRUTAL.
oh, and those students have GOT to be plants. Come on.
