And his name is Johnson. Haven't seen the offense move this smoothly in a long time.

Went to rest room and saw S.Johnson. Man he took over game and looked solid. Hope Barker isn't hurt but Johnson may be the man from hear on out.

Hopefully no one brings up Pookie Jones....this kid can do it....great poise.... The team seemed to rally around him....no disrespect to Barker, but this kid took blows and never wilted...

Yeah, he looked great last weekend against a real team! SMDH

Threw 3 passes all game and still had nearly 5 times more yards than Barker. Literally the only dynamic that Barker supposedly brought to UK that Johnson couldn't do as well as him was passing, and that appears to be untrue on all counts thusfar. It's obvious who the better runner is. Dual-threat QB's are the in-thing today. They take offenses to new heights because of always having to account for all 11 offensive players instead of only 10 of them.
The reality is that Johnson is having a much better season than Barker thus-far, has been more steady, and should be the first option going forward until proven otherwise.

So perfectly typical of our program that I saw what I saw from a QB in a game at noon today against the #2 team in the country and we're excited about having Olive Oyl's brother at the helm now.

Good for the kid...but excuse me if I'm not getting ready for College Gameday coming to Lexington due to his play going forward.

DO have to say it was good seeing us use the RPO concept and have him actually decide to throw it after the run-fake once or twice. Might help mitigate our OL weaknesses enough to squeak out 3 wins this year.

And Barker played exceptionally well against an SEC team and played the 2nd half against SMU really well also! Right?

He barely played and still led the team to their only TD against Florida.

Florida had their 5th team defense in at the time. I'm happy he played well and I'm happy we won but we played a terrible team and they stayed with us most of the game. We'll still be lucky to win 3 games as decent / good teams will kill us. Stoops still needs to go asap.

I agree, he has nothing close to the speed of Pookie, but he did a fine job.

Figure it out brainiac

I figured it out. You're either drunk, stupid, or a complete moron. Most likely you're all three. Compared to the moronic posts you continue to make I AM a damn rocket scientist. Go to bed and sleep it off.

I am as hard on this team as the next guy but you've got to be kidding? It was his first action to see against a very good defense that was foaming at the mouth aiming for a shutout. Give the guy a little credit where deserved.

Stroke your Johnson all you want. He looked serviceable against the 120th ranked team in the country. Nothing more nothing less.

You've talked about it ad nauseum. We know, you love Lamar Jackson. You want his babies. I understand, we ALL understand.
Look, he's terrific, but this is a Kentucky football forum, we're talking about what we think is best for our team. Go over to your own board, and talk about what you think is best for your team. Cool?

310 yards passing, 3 touchdowns, 59 yards rushing, 77% completion percentage. If that's "serviceable", then I can't wait until the day that we get a "somewhat decent" QB.
You made an incredibly dumb comment just for the sake of using a fairly lame pun. Are you proud of yourself?

Stephen Johnson isn't good. The team we played would be lucky to beat Georgetown College. Be as delusional as you want. How many of those yards came from a short pass and then the WR or TE took off for big yardage. I can tell you that I'm proud of myself for not falling in for this dumb *** false hope of Stephen Johnson like you apparently have.
