Not a constitutional law expert, but I'm pretty certain that these orders are illegal unless martial law has been declared.

funny I was just wondering how something like this might be handled if it occurred. The right to peacefully assemble versus orders like this. I bet they let them be.

The people who are afraid to get back to work can continue to cower in their homes. The rest want freedom.

I just don’t understand why people can’t just chill out for a couple months, before acting like our freedoms will never return.

It’s the nanny state. You don’t need to save everyone. We’re literally violating the constitution. If these jackasses want to go get the COVID, so be it. I’m staying put, not because I was told to, but because it’s the smart thing to do. I support those who don’t believe the directives are constitutional though.

I’d file your actions under the category of chilling out - catty ****

Probably because they worked hard to build a life and in some cases businesses and they are being forced to watch it wither away.

1. If you are complaining about this, why weren't you posting your disgust for Trump's anti-federalism quotes about "absolute power"?
2. I also agree that protesting is essential and I'm sick of this stupid "lockdown".

Trump's meaningless words vs. governmental actions are two very distinctly different things.

Seriously? That's your response? I'm sure that would have been your response if Obama or Biden would/makes that same statement, right? I mean even Fox News called out Trump for that statement!

“Meaningless words” from the President of the United States? Really sad that this is a common and legitimate phrase now

You're right. Afterall, I'm still living it up on the $4,000 per year I'm saving on insurance due to Obamacare. They're all salesmen, anymore.

LOL that is funny. I wondered if they'd get in cars and just block the streets at some point. That might be the first social-distance-safe protest.

I didn't understand what this thread was discussing until I have seen some of these protests going on. I must say it is upsetting. I will again attribute to this type of action to the inconsistent and inaccurate communication that is coming from the leaders of the country which often conflicts with the message governors are saying and trying to execute for the best of all the citizens of the state. And it is just getting worse with the daily WH press conferences and the rhetoric with zero plans and confusing messages that is being put in the public with different media.

People say "why do I care what Trump says".........well, this is the result of why you should care and yes it is getting ugly where we all need to be acting as one and for the same purpose.

One thing that has rubbed a lot of people wrong is calling abortion clinics essential activities, yet shutting down churches to where they can't even do car church.

I understand. Yes, this time needs a little bit more of understanding, patience and perspective by all and we all know that is very difficult.

This has nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with the Governors of the states where this is occurring. This has to do with people not being able to earn a living. This has to do with people sitting in hours long waits just to get basic essentials for their homes. This has to do with shutting the world down for a month. This has to do with people not liking the Govt interfering in our daily lives, and damn the consequences, screw the nanny state.

You basically don’t understand it at all because you do what you’re told, you believe what you’re told to believe, and you need the Govt to protect and safeguard you.

I must have missed it where Trump called on the citizens of Michigan to protest against they're big-tiddy-batshit-crazy-liberty-trampling Governor

Didn’t you “do what you were told”? My god, you guys and your fvcking tough guy ******** is fvcking exhausting. It’s been a month! Do you think any decision made by the Gov in Michigan (or any other state the enacted mitigation measures) had anything other than public health in mind with the decisions they made during this crisis?
