This year was a rebuild. This was completely obvious after ULL. Plain and simple. I don't know why it is so hard to get that through your heads. We had 8 players suspended and we had an injured QB all season. It's been said that JoMo's record has been the same as Mullen's during with same sample size, but for some reason the fact fact seems to escape you people. You guys cry about JoMo's team not looking prepared....REMEMBER THE TIME WE LOST TO SOUTH 17ing ALABAMA. The same people whining about Moorehead are probably the same people who were calling for Mullen to be fired and are probably the same that are now saying how much better Mullen was. Guess what Dan Mullen got the 17 out of town. He's gone and JoMo is now our coach. He won 8 games his first season and he won 6 games his second season. We had the SEC's leading rusher and our defense was in the top 15 for turnovers. We are going to bowl game and you people act like the sky is falling. And then you all act like we are going to bring in a Sun Belt coach and all of our problem would be fixed. You all think that Kansas State and Tennessee were gimmes. They weren't. Kansas State beat Oklahoma. Tennessee ended the season on a 5 game win streak and after their rough start the only games they lost were to top 10 teams. Waaagh....Auburn beat use really bad. Guess what they just scored 48 vs Alabama. I could keep ranting, but I'll stop now...

I get it....I'm dumb, you're all smart, and JoMo is a complete failure... I hope you guys enjoy watching our 10th straight bowl game.

The worst Arkansas team possibly ever, and FCS school, and a mediocre OM team that lost because of a penalty.

We won the games. That is what matters. We didn't lose. Why is this such a bad thing? We are going to win 7 or 8 games next year and you will all still be complaining because it means we will keep JoMo even longer.

Mullen built his entire resume on beating bad teams. He never won when he wasn't favored.

Care to make a wager on that win prediction for next year?

Losing as an underdog is excusable. Losing as a favorite is not. Moorhead has lost five games in two years as huge favorites. That is the point.

If Moorhead had won more of the games he was supposed to win, nobody would be arguing.

I stopped reading at a rebuild.

Stopped reading at rebuild as well, you can support the program and still realize Jomo is not the guy. When JoMo came here the words out of his own mouth were we are just putting a new floor on a already built house. Now it’s a rebuild, I don’t trust anything the man says personally. Plus you add in the insulting and arrogant post EB press conference, I am done with him. I was a state fan long before JoMo graced us with his presence, I will be one long after the stench of his failures have been forgotten.

We're we favored vs South Alabama and Mullen's last EB when Speaks, AJ & Metcalf embarrassed us on our own field?

New Mexico - W
NC State - ? (toss-up)
Arkansas - W
Tulane - W
Texas A&M - L
Bama - L
LSU - L
Missouri - ? (toss up)
Kentucky - ? (toss up)
Alabama A&M - W
Ole Miss - ? (toss up)

JoMo certainly hasn't inspired me to start betting money, but we definitely have a path to 7 or 8 wins. I'd say 6-6 is the floor next season.

I didn't say Mullen never had any stinkers. I'm not defending Mullen. But he didn't lose five games as a 7+point favorite over nine years. Jomo has done it in his first two years.

Is that with Hill, Gay and Dantzler or without? They are our best offensive player and best two players on defense, so we have to see what these guys are doing before making any win/loss predictions. I wouldn't expect more than 5 if they all leave.

Great post! I agree! If one were to judge MSU's fanbase off of the posts in this message board, they would conclude that MSU has the worst fanbase...PERIOD!
Thankfully, this message board is a poor sampling of true MSU fans!

Moorhead has also won a couple games as an underdog already (aTm, Auburn) which is about the same number Mullen won in 9 years. Moorhead has also never gone 5-7, missed a bowl, ever lost to OM and he's never coached a game in shorts.

Tenn got better as the year went on, huh? Wish we had

Tenn was tied with returning starters with LSU. They were # 2 in the SEC in returning experience with 91% of their offensive yards returning and have recruited well. In fact at a higher rate than Mullen leading into Moorhead's tenure

Their issue was their OL, and the cancerous locker room. He got rid of those.

I started reading this board during the Croom era. Horrible football make this board more entertaining for numerous reasons, and I believe, will speed up the much needed upcoming purge,..some voluntary, some not.
No matter what happens, you can count on the survival of roaches and GOAT.

You mean the AJ that Mullen could not and walked away from? I mean. Wonder why they went to Ole Piss? because they could pass it? Would pass it. And since Dak, Mullen wouldn't because he couldn't.

With out legit WRs, we will fail to beat those teams we want to beat. They will load up and stop the run.

Guys. You just glossed over his 6-6 Floor prediction.

First dude. This program didn’t need re-building and it didn’t need a culture change. It had been built into a 5 to 8 ranked SEC program, which is pretty dang good for a program that plays 4 of the 6 best teams in the league every year. This year we tumbled to the 9th best, although I doubt we are better than Missouri, who also went 6-6. So essentially, State is the 9/10 best team ( or the 5th worst if you are a glass half empty person) in a league that #14 hasn’t won an SEC game in over 2 seasons, a #13 ranked team that has historically been the 13/14 Ranked the entire time in existence, #12, who managed to screw up an XP play and lose 21-20( who had monumental wins over A directional LA school, the #13 SEC team, the #14 SEC team, and one of the Mexicos, New or Old), and #11 team who found a magic pill and beat a Top 4 team and also was probably as good as State, but drew some bad luck against Florida.

Tutorgate was under Moorhead’s watch, and it be hard to prove to me someone on his staff didn’t know that was going on.

Yea pretty inexcusable that Mullen lost AJ to OM. We probably win two more games last year with AJ. Nobody is complaining about Moorhead today if we went 10-3 last year. We'd of gone 10-3 with AJ as one of our WRs.

Within 7 days of losing to South Alabama, Mullen won by double digits over an SEC team. Later that same year, he beat a top 10 team in Starkville.

And after they brokeNicks ankle, Mullen took a true freshman and almost completed a 3 TD comeback on OM.

JoMo beat OM because they’re player peed in the endzone.

We weren't far off either. the UF game and the Bowl game.. both results of poor passing game

It was 7-0 when KT came into the game not 21-0 and OM peed on Mullen's field too but he lost. He also lost to BYU and Arkansas in the South Alabama year. Barely beat UMASS & Miami Ohio as well.

It doesnt matter what any of you accountants, teachers and mechanics want or wish. Joe coaches the program we all supposedly support and there ain't nothin you can do about it. Wish in one and **** in the other and see which one fills up quicker. If Joe doesnt make noticeable improvements next year he will probly get canned and we can get the next new savior to come lead us to another 6 and 6 year. Support your team or pound sand

2009 at Kentucky and home vs OM. There's 2 in his first year.
