Ok, maybe a bit melodramatic, but being in the first row of the 2nd level for the last 30+ years, I was annoyed to find that the red metal covers installed above the ribbon scoreboards in the 2008 stadium upgrade were removed. Many of us in the first row loved to pound/drum on those to make noise when we were on defense. I bet someone who doesn't like noise (yet attends football games) complained, lol. I doubt they'll ever return, but it does expose various screws and bolts to the elements. Any other first row-ers annoyed at this?

I think anything the powers that be can do to lessen the home field edge and the fan experience is always thought to be a good idea.
What you need to do is buy and ad and put your complaint on the new scoreboard, where nobody will see the ad, because they will be looking for the score, you know, because it's a scoreboard.
Of course they do - there were even signs on them to that effect. But what fan doesn't want to make the most noise possible? Last year I got into an argument with a NE fan who was sitting a few seats down from me who told me to shut up with that noise, like the signs said. So I banged harder and told him to get security if home team fan noise was that much of an issue for him. Thankfully he left at the half so I didn't have to hear him gloat after we blew that one. I might have to bring drum sticks now...
I couldn't, since "management" really didn't want people banging on them, lol...
That’s why I picked the 3rd Row a few Sections over from ####’s.
And since my friend and I usually have lots of elbow room around us, we just bang the actual benches.

Remember those things we all had at the Insight Bowl or during Ville game that we beat on the stadium? talk about loud.
The snow game vs. WVU was particularly bad. Without the extra noise-maker over the rail, I may consider moving up a couple of rows.
