....going for him were a tough defense that wasn't giving an inch and the great night McAdams was having punting the ball. With almost 4 minutes left and 2 timeouts, it should have been a no-brainer to punt the ball down into Auburn territory, give your defense the chance to hold, and hopefully get the ball back with a shorter field for your offense. He lucked out when AU fumbled the ball back. But that seems to be the theme of our football program under Croom. We expect the ball to keep bouncing the right way for us, as opposed to making things happen for ourselves. This is why I had no confidence that we'd continue our '07 success into '08. We're actually depending upon something akin to divine intervention to help us win games.</p>
