Isn't he regarded as the best receiver in the state by many? I seem to remember

LSU coveted him for a while.

Could be wrong but I think someone said DB at the next level. But hey, a 4 star athletes should make plenty of our fans cream themselves regardless of position

This was the guy who we thought was committed last season, but there was some sort of miscommunication and he did not. Glad to get him on board, hopefully this will be the start of something.

I noticed that he didn't have an offer from them. Hard to believe considering

the way they offer 200+ kids that a 4 star player right underneath their noses wasn't offered. Course, they may have known that he was a State lean and didn't want to waste their time.

This is a great pick up. It's a good thing any time you get a 4-5 star early in the recruiting season. Now, Pack needs to come right behind him. ETA: We moved up 14 spots to 55th in the highly coveted 247 composite recruiting rankings. 11 spots behind the Conference USA powerhouse Rice Owls.

Yep, I think you are right. Jamoral may end up in the slot some as he is

said to be explosive in the open field but DB is probably where he will make
his biggest impact along with return duties.

As you say I think they knew he was a State kid but so was Chris Jones so we

need to find out how long it takes to get from Newton County to Oxford in the
middle of the night to get ahead of the game*.

you haven't been paying close enough attention.

because he has been a State lean for a long time, they will just wait until very late in the process and then make their move. That way, they pick up a top notch recruit, we lose one, and then we have to scramble to sign someone who was lower on our board.

Complaining about recruiting rankings in May is equivalent to complaining about how the stadium isn't full 1 1/2 hours before kickoff.

It is the start of something, its the start of bringing the 'crootin song back out of its dormancy. I'll look forward to getting to hear it tomorrow on the B&B show.

According to 247, he has offers from Ole Miss and USM.

nice pickup

I think he will end up on defense and play safety or corner and maybe return kicks. Seems to have a John Banks type build to him . I think we are in early on the two West Point kids (the RB and a DL) also . I wonder if they would jump on board early too? I know the RB out of Lafayette has already committed to Ole Miss. You would think the RB out of West Point (who is viewed the 2nd best RB in the state behind the kid from Oxford) would go ahead and commit to us?

Graham had a nice litle back and forth with DT prospect Cory Thomas.

He's from McAdory high school in McCalla, Alabama, and apparently he's thinking about possibly committing soon. Graham told him if he wanted to help build a championship at MSU to contact him. I think Graham is going to be our spokesman for this group of recruits. Seems to have a genuine commitment to MSU and has really liked us for a while.

much like in previous years with Mullen, we will probably start seeing guys commit one at a time throught May and June until we get up to about 10 gusy. We probably have 5 or 6 like this who are ready to commit as soon as we let them know it's time, and then we'll pick up another 5-6 during camps.
