I understand the righty/lefty matchup in baseball, but damn. Taking out a hot Norris to put in a cold Robson just for the left handed bat? Norris could have hit that slow throwing righty. And all of that bringing Bradford in and out for pitching matchups is a little extreme in my opinion. This isn't a Regional, just play some ball.

You win some, you lose some, and maybe he coaches us to victory in the bottom of the ninth.

earlier he pinch hit Porter in a lefty on lefty situation but then brought in Rea to pinch hit the NEXT inning. It worked as Porter got a bloop hit but it made no sense if Rea WAS available which evidently he was given he was brought in later.

you are correct...cohen out coached himself.

goin to the pen so much works as long as the next guy up throws strikes...that didnt happen today. it has happened all year up to this point but it seemed everyone in the pen was off. surprised it took this many games fthis to occurr. that in itself is a testament to our pitching abilities.

I agree he we went to extremes with the match ups but our game was lost on the mound today. 8 walks and 6 hit batters will not get you many wins in any league, from little league on up.

We looked like crap on the mound today and ended up trying to make up for it with over thinking everywhere else.

I haven't understood that all season. I'm fine with CT pitching. But not for just 1-2 batters and giving up your DH. That's ridiculous.

2. Yes, the umpire was as bad as I have seen in a while. But our pitchers feel behind almost every hitter. Not counting the walks or hbp.
3. Cohen got way to cute with the lineups. Unless I mis counted a player. We went into extras with literally one extra player in Holder that was eligible.

CT pitching twice in a game I do not like. He gets zero warm up pitches the second time.

Unless the base runner is Rea, porter, or slaughter do not pitch run for them. Detz is not a burner but he's not slow.

Flair will be a DH that's it.

My best guess Holder pitched the night before. He would only be good for an inning or two. If you throw him you burn him for the weekend. If your confident that we can score in the bottom you throw him.

I can't tell you how sick I am of his 'cute' ********. It's selfish as 17. It was the reason we lost our final game of the year last year. "Oh look at me I'm so innovative I can pitch my center fielder twice in one game". "Everybody look at John playing the pitching matchups, he's so smart!" "That John Cohen sure does know how to play small ball and be aggressive, we'll get thrown out a couple times but by gosh we'll be better in the end because of it". 17! Stop meddling! Stop burning our DH. While I'm at it stop ****ing our DH! Stop ****ing hitters hitting over .400. Stop pinch running for middle 17 infielders. Stop taking our best 17ing hitters out of the game! I swear to God if Detz's spot had come up in that 10th inning and Tyler Fullerton was at the plate I would have lost it

Nobody else does as much retarded *** ****, just pointless dumb cute wasteful **** as we do. My preseason notes said our biggest obstacle to success would be John Cohen. I stand by that. What does it say about a coach that refuses to learn from mistakes? I hope our players can oovercome the ******** in June because far too often we are playing against ourselves. Just put your best 9 players on the field and let them do what you recruited them to do John. When you do all your cute **** and it 17s up that just makes you look twice as bad.
