most everyone outside of Starkville knows that Cohen is a good coach who will have y'all back in a regional next year. I really thought it would be this year but the injuries and lack of production from the JUCO guys -- in combination anyway -- I just didn't expect. Tough to have patience, but he's just recruiting too well and is too solid of a coach to not succeed.

I will say things have hit rock bottom. I just dont see things getting better due to the lack of good hitters on our roster who are will be back next year. I believe that our pitching (as awful as its been this year ) will improve next year, but its not going to make a difference if we dont have any hitters who can drive in runs. Losing Duffy, Powers, Snead, Atkins, and Butler is really going to hurt us next year. What hitters that we have returning next year will be able to put up good numbers???? Thats what I am worried about.

but in getting rid of those seniors, while you lose their field production, you also lose alot of the reasons our team wasn't 'gelling', if you know what I mean.
