This is the last Saturday without college football

Wish everything started after Labor Day (HS, College, Pro).
Football camps open at same time as a lot of bug noise at night.
Nights in July and early August are quiet and with lightening bugs.
Near middle of August all the crickets and other things make a real racket - chirp city.
The only thing I hate this early is being in a stadium at over 90 degrees on metal seats with the sun beaming down. I feel like a baked potato in a convection oven as I marinate in my own sweat.
The high school season in NJ begins next Friday.
My great nephew's Middletown South team has a lot of seniors and has high hopes for a state title.
They won 2 games in the playoffs last season.

Is late-season cold or early-season heat worse? Serious question, not a passive argument or anything.
I love the cold more than most humans, but I'm moving, not sitting still for hours on end. Havent done any extreme weather games and can't quite figure which would be worse.
In the future, Week 0 could turn into Week 1 to give more breathing room for the expanded CFP. Prior obligations of schools may prevent that at present but it might not be as much of a roadblock in the future.

My feeling I can always put more clothes on, I can't peel my skin off. Plus, they make those hand warmers which my mother-in-law has gifted me on every single Christmas and Birthday.
My wife and another in our group have to head for the safety of the concourse.
Seatbacks like they have at Papa Johns would be a welcome addition!
Like real seats or backs on bleachers like we have already?
The Knight Cushions IMO just aren’t that comfortable.
I’d like that too…do it from goal line to goal line, up top as well.
Keep the Student Section as bleachers and the other endzone maybe.
When they opened the stadium In 94 I felt not having seats was a travesty . Remember we played a lot of games at giants stadium back then - including all of 93. It was a real downgrade.
As mentioned, the argument against is because it reduces total capacity.
But our bleachers are measured might wider than just about everyone else when it comes to seat size.
I can attest that Notre Dame is probably the worst for this. They don't fit that many people into the stadium because it's that big, they fit them in by shoehorning them in. It's maybe a foot to the next number. I was catching shoulders in the face the entire game and these were good seats about the 40 down low. I'll never go back to that place.
I went to the last game in the old place before they finished the job adding the seats all the way around.
Been there, done that for the same reasons you mentioned.
I assume they'll do it when they put in the boxes on the one side. Capacity needs to stay north of 50k

Midd South opens against RFH who won their group 2 section and lost in the overall group 2 state finals in Rutgers Stadium to Caldwell. My brother lives in middletown, i'm in RFH land... excited for this game, but wish it wasn't the opener.
We left Rumson in 2017. Had kids I coached various sports including baseball and soccer who played football at RFH. RFH and the Middletown schools do not send many to the Power 5. Kids I coached wound up at Lehigh and NESCAC schools.
Elijah McAllister who played at RFH appears to finally be healthy and will be playing "Jack" at Auburn this year after having an injury-riddled career at Vanderbilt.
Agree. And the rest of the season schedule has to lineup accordingly based on the number of Bowl games. Season ends for many Thanksgiving weekend. Next weekend are championship games and some other randoms. Army/Navy gets its own Saturday. Then the first Bowl games start the following weekend.
Well with UMass - New Mexico State getting the 7PM EDT slot on ESPN an argument can be made that it does.
