This is the most non-clutch hitting team I've ever seen...

He isn't the same player he was last year. He's way too impatient. His walks are way down. He's swinging way too early in counts. Hopefully he gets it back

That was a horrible at bat by Frasier! Pitcher struggling at the mound, bases loaded, and you take a pitch down and in.

You are the most impatient person I've ever seen***

1-1 on the unclutch double by Pirtle

Well I might be more patient if we weren't 3-6 in the league with a ton of 1 and 2 run losses. Easy to come back and post after we happened to get a run the next inning on a ball that was an inch from being foul. Still need to see Frazier get back in a groove.

Had I not been tracking the game....

and you told me Frazier and Bradford were a combined 0 for 9, I would say mark a loss down.

If we can get those 2 going again, Cohen could make up some ground with that lineup we just had out there.

Yep, I'm proud of the others for picking up their slack. As someone above said, Frazier is just being a little too impatient right now. Last year it seemed like he had 2 strikes every at bat and then got on with a walk or a hit. He hasn't been waiting on his pitch, spoiling pitches, and working counts enough in my opinion.

He's too good of a hitter not to snap out of it though. He'll be fine. Ct on the other hand....I don't know how you get inside of a pitch up under your rib cage, but he is trying to take EVERYTHING to the opposite field. When they throw him a heater on the inside corner, he needs to rip that bastard down the right field line. Hopefully he snaps out of this little slap hitting pop up **** he's doing. He looks bad.

Like you said though...it's great to win with those two going 0fer. They should snap out of it and we'll be even better offensively.

Why in the hell does it matter if it is an inch being fair?

He probably complained about us losing to Kentucky too when Rea was a foot from a game winning homer. Double-standard**

Good gracious you people are petty. OK, forget the freakin' inch (which wasn't even the point of my post), I was making the point that its easy to come back over and act like someone is overreacting about not coming through with the bases juiced AFTER something good happens the NEXT inning. Hell, I'm glad we got over the hump tonight and FINALLY scored some runs because I'm sick of seeing us only score 1, 2 or 3 runs in a conference game and then barely get beat. I swear sometimes this place can be every bit as bad as Gene's Page. After playing nine SEC games and only scoring over 4 runs in TWO of them it was about time to score a few runs and thank goodness Florida's defense helped us out a little.

Maybe, their point is to not freak out initially and let things play out. You're asking for it by calling someone "non-clutch" in a 9 inning game.

Exactly. You just look dumb when you complain in the 3rd inning, and then turn out to be proved wrong later in the game.

You went full retard in the 2nd inning of a game we were losing 1-0. Reap the rewards of it like a man.

Gene's page? No. Many of us are simply smart enough to understand that we've seen 4 of the top 12 pitching staffs in the COUNTRY over the past month and had a chance to win 10 of those 12 games despite not playing well and our projected ace being out. Florida is not one of those pitching staffs -- thus why you freaked out without reason and are now being rightfully ridiculed for it.

this board is getting dumb...

Exactly. You just look dumb when you complain in the 3rd inning, and then turn out to be proved wrong later in the game.
my comment about being "non-clutch hitting" was based on what I've seen with this team since the Central Arkansas weekend (essentially since we started playing real competition), NOT based on 3 innings of ONE game. Anybody with any common sense would know I wasn't posting that just based on 3 innings of last night's game. If you don't agree then fine but that was my evaluation after watching this team over the last month, and I made the comment right after we had blown ANOTHER chance to score big with the bases juiced with what is supposed to be one of our top hitters up. I realize we are playing top competition but WE are suppose to be top competition ourselves. We certainly have the players in place to be. When people here start saying that a comment about our team being "non-clutch hitting" is a "freak out" or "going full retard" then yes, the board has gone Gene's Page and I'll try to be more sensitive in the future to what I post here so I don't offend anybody's good feelings. And it remains that "timely" hitting with men on base has been a big problem for this team, hopefully last night was a step to getting that turned around.

At the time you posted the OP, you were basing it off of what you had seen lately. I see what you were saying, and I agreed at that time. Not everyone wants to wait for the end of the game to discuss it. I'm sure you were glad to see us become a little more clutch after you said that. Not sure why everybody is blowing your post out of proportion when it was 100% correct when you posted it. Regardless of who we had been facing, we had not been very clutch....I see nothing wrong with what you said at the time you said it, but I'm sure I will be ridiculed just for saying that.

Glad we got some key hits tonight, and I fully expected us to hit much better this weekend than we had against UK, LSU, and Ark. Glad to see it happening through this first game with Florida. We need a big win today....Kendall will get it for us.

No, the good baseball posters migrated. The ****** baseball posters all stayed here to continue to make this board unreadable during baseball season. Come join the dark side, Mizzou.

Oh, how quickly we forget. The hitting improvement from Cohen's first 2 teams to now is ridiculous. Connor Powers is probably the only guy on those teams that would start, or play at all for that matter, on this team. Hell, we had a guy SPS nicknamed Anti-Clutch Collins on those teams. But THIS is the most non-clutch hitting team you've ever seen? Go crawl back in your hole.
