and i hesitate to say that as we have had our issues through the years, but damn, they are all freaking awful with the exception of 3 or 4 players. its now the 6th inning and we have 2 hits against jacksonville state. im sure their starter is probably an above average arm, but its pathetic at how bad we are at the plate.

one would think through sheer randomness that EVENTUALLY we would get a hit with less than 2 outs with RISP, but damn...the law of averages is getting its *** handed to it with this team.

also, i know some of yall have a boner for ct bradford, but he has been a huge disappointment mainly because he struggles so much with runners on. he is a rally killer almost as bad as demarcus. he has stranded an absolute army on the bases.

There's our obligatory wild pitch that scores a run

We have got to have set an NCAA record this year for allowing runs on wild pitches. We do it almost every game. It's about the only thing this team does consistently well.

Wow, we made a catching change in the middle of the inning after Collins was charged with a passed ball. This is Little League type stuff here.

i dont recall so many pitches in the carpet/dirt either. pass balls, wild pitches, hbp....its enough to drive you crazy. all a team has to do is get a hit and sooner or later, we will 17-up. jsu is doing it the right way, why beat a team when they can save you the effort and beat themselves. gonna take a nice effort from holder just to keep them from scoring with 1 out with runners on the corners.

It's ridiculous that we have to use our closer in a midweek game against Jax St.

This team sucks so bad offensively it's not even funny. If we lose this game the best we can hope for is a #3 seed in a regional somewhere.

We can blame the offense and the CATCHERS for this loss. That was definitely little league looking bs.

Freaking embarrassing. Our RPI is going to nosedive now. If we don't win these next two series, we are in serious trouble of not making a regional at all.

its ok guys. this is just living up to our expectations. for teams that arent at the top of their league consistently and have not been for some time, this is the status quo. we are just an average team in a baseball league. at one time, we had higher and more lofty expectations, but we (being the mid tier baseball school that we apparently are more than happy to be) should be thrilled to make it as a 2 or 3 seed ever year. this is just mirroring our level of dedication. i congratulate stricklin for keeping our expectations at a realistic level. there is no reason we should strive to be the best. soon, our past pedigree of baseball dominance will be a distant memory and our new role as conference blow-up doll will be fully realized.

Second biggest underachieving team in MSU history (nothing will ever top Stansbury's last year).

We're about to make Auburn look like the 2012 Yankees this weekend so do like me and just stop caring. My dog has started coming around me, I haven't broke anything in about 2 weeks and my blood pressure is back in double-digits.

the most embarrassing part is how we lost. jsu scored via 0 hits, 2 walks, 2 pass balls, and 1 sac bunt in the 9th. in the meantime, our studs hammer our 4 hits on the game. in year 5, i expected MUCH better particularly from a talent standpoint. our lineup if a 17ing joke.


notice how i havent said we need to fire cohen or anything remotely close to that, just that our talent sucks and we should be doing better in year 5. that is the honest truth not an attack on cohen.
