Okay, nobody questions the year has not been great. Some early bad losses really set the tone for the season. But what I realy want to address is two losses - the two double overtime losses. We lost to LSU and Alabama in games that obviously could have gone either way. No, I'm not saying "we should have won" or "we were robbed" or anything like that. We lost. Period. But you don't go to 2 overtimes unless the game was simply one made shot either way from being won by either team in regulation or the first overtime. So, two made shots and we win 2 more games. So here we are at 7-6 and we have people saying it's time for Stansbury to go. It's past his time. He can't coach offense. He can't coach defense. He can't recruit. He can't draw up inbound plays. He can't substitute right. He can't, well, hell, he just simply can't coach. We have posters here who basically say they could do better. BUT, and it's a big but (I know butts), we make 2 more shots - 2 shots - and we are sitting at 9-4 still behind LSU by a mile, but with a decent case for getting in the big dance. All of a sudden the critics, while not silent (we could be 28-0 and would still have people bitching about Stans), would be far less and the calls for Stans head would be non-existent.
So make 2 shots in 2 games and your doing a pretty good job Stans, keep up the good work. Miss 2 shots in 2 games and "GET THE HELL OUT OF TOWN STAINS! (and take that woman of yours with you!)
