Formerly asks for trade and does not report to team meeting today. The Jets are probably salivatating at getting Cutler. In other NFL news Matt Jones was released by Jacksonville.

**Edited: Not Carolina but Jacksonville

Good job by Cutler on keeping his spoiled Vandy brattiness under wraps until now. As for McDaniel, your mentor Beillicheck gets to pull crap like this because he has the hardware to back it up. You don't have jack. And now you don't have a QB.
Here's a good Peter King (?!) article on the situation.
On a related note, now my "2009 Broncos Calendar" has only 6 current Broncos in it. This is the kind of crap we make fun of the Raiders for pulling. Dammit.

This has to cripple broncos fans. how often do you draft a franchise QB and then have him leave? It's earlier in his career, but this reminds me of the Drew Brees situation when the Chargers told him to take a hike, only the Broncos don't have a Phillip Rivers waiting in the wings. This is going to be a Christmas gift to some other team.

Here's hoping he stays the hell away from Tampa Bay!

and go to work...so the guy wanted the QB he has been working with.. deal with it.. it doesn't mean they don't think you're any good. If they do trade him, it's not gonna be to a contender and especially not in the AFC.

A franchise which usually handles itself in a very professional manner has dropped the ball on this one.

When this thing broke, I was on Cutler side completely. Of all the issues the team had last year, Cutler was no where near being on that list. He is a young Pro-Bowl quarterback who has all the potential in the world. I can understand why he was upset. He wasn't thrilled with the coaching hire that was made.

However, the longer this goes on, the more Cutler looks like a baby. He needs to swallow his pride and do his job.

I'm wondering why Bowlen hasn't said much about this. He hired a child for a head coach, and brought in a nobody to be the GM, after firing one of the better coaches in the NFL (which I do think was the right move).

This whole ordeal makes me sick. I'm now of the thought we might as well trade him to Detriot for the first pick. They'd be crazy to take anything but a top ten pick, or 1st round picks over several years. Cutler WILL be great one day. It is too bad it will not be in Denver.

I think we were too late to the dance,'' he said, meaning the Chiefs had already made the deal with New England -- a second-round pick for Cassel and linebacker Mike Vrabel. Denver would have given more, likely a first-round pick, but Patriots coach Bill Belichick had his deal done with the Chiefs.

Seriously? We were going to give a first round pick for Cassel and Vrabel? When we already had a franchise QB? Basically, we were going to give a first round pick for Vrabel? Stupid!

In fairness, I think its a bit premature to be labeling him a franchise QB. I believe, he's never had a winning season and has definitely not led them to the playoffs yet. He's got the tools it seems to be great, but I don't think he has proven yet that he is what the Broncos thought they were drafting. I side with the team on this one. Cutler hasn't done anything in the league yet, so for him to act like him being shopped is such a huge disrespect to him is stupid.
