I wet the brush with hot water before I put paste on. My rationale is the brush is sitting in open collecting germs and dust. I also like my tooth paste warm, so I put warm water on top before brushing. I broke all my front teeth in an accident and have crowns that are sensitive.

You raise another good point of order regarding water temperature during the rinse / wetting. I don’t think I’ve ever used hot water.

I use a "teethbrush". We did recently move to Alabama so I don't yet know the protocol here. Do all family members use the same "teethbrush"?

I tend to soak mine in peroxide once a week. No idea if it actually helps but it does with peace of mind.

Messed up and answered incorrectly. Should've chosen other because I do both.

You know, having your toothbrush in close proximity to the place you poop is probably not a good idea.

One of my previous friends lets his cereal soak in milk for about 10 minutes before he eats it.

apply Toothpaste->brush teeth->rinse

never understood the need to pre-wet the thing. lose too much toothpaste scrubbing viscosity.
That’s the actual instructions for toothpaste. Makes a huge difference. I still prefer to wash before and after. You’re also not supposed to rinse your mouth after brushing.
