This really shows how far the program has fallen.RutgersAl quote.

He is probably the most upbeat fan on these boards, and even he is beaten down. He used to consider Rutgers the USC of the East Coast, now this.
"Because I'm tired of the 0 TDs BS from our starting offense, we've watched the past couple of games, and against PSU.
I'm tired of 31 yards passing vs Wisconsin
I'm tired of opposing defenses loading the box and our offense looking helpless
I'm tired of bounce passes to our wrs
I'm tired of Grant not getting the ball as much as he should
I'm tired of missed opportunities
I'm tired of wanting to go 1-0 and going 0-1

Ultimately, I'm tired of being tired, which is why I'm clamoring for change, and I'm merely one of many"

It's true. The enthusiasm and excitement for this program has been continually dampened since Flood took over. If we didn't have the B10 entry it would have fallen even further than it has already.

Remember we beat Michigan last year. Just a year later and it's an expected blowout and little excitement. Each year the expectations get less and further from the GS era pride in the program.

Hard to argue with the premise of the OP. Al is usually delusional with optimism no matter how bad things seem to be. My guess is that things are a lot worse than I thought! :scream:

No offense to Al but who gives a crap? For years he's been posting overtly positive, look at me essays and posters here were tripping over themselves taking him to task for it.

Now because he posts something not all lollipops and rainbows, it all somehow becomes relevant?

Too funny.

RutgersAl jumping off the bandwagon is a little bit like someone else jumping off a bridge.

Only if someone is clueless enough to think he really believes what he posts.

All I've ever heard is poster Al and real life Al are two different people.

I agree, all due respect to Al, but his delusional rants made the steady decline all the more frustrating.

He clearly believes what he is saying this time.Reality can strike at any time.He has supported Rettig & the facts & reasons for doing so are abundant. He is not exactly preaching to the choir here.A vast majority agree,& rightly so.
An aside.I hope all is well with you and your family,

I hope we haven't lowered our expectations...sad.

No way RutgersAl said that in a million years - I call BS! If it is actually him I want to see proof from his screenname....and OP RutgersAl is probably one of the most upbeat fans not just on these boards, but in the history of mankind in the universe.

The D baggery on this thread is real. Even if Al had an unparalleled level of optimism, he's like any one of us that just wants to see RU succeed. Al has finally seen RU for what it is and you decide to rag on him? If anything I find it unfortunate that the quality of RU football has taken such a dump that the most optimistic fan that RU will probably ever know has suddenly lost faith. That's a huge problem. The excitement I had for this football season is completely gone. It gets under my skin every time I hear a cliche come out Flood's mouth yet the product on the field shows he really doesn't know what he's doing.

We NEED to bring the pride....put the pride back in ''RU'' and ''NJ''....time we woke up. I'm tired of shame. Were proud folks from Jersey..

RutgersAl making that post is like Barney coming out and telling the kids to shut the f*** up while drinking JD straight from the bottle.

Couldn't stop laughing after that quote. Got to admit. That was pretty funny. [laughing]

Back at ya my brotha from the otha coast.

As far as Al goes, he should spend more time learning NJ Motor Vehicle laws and less dissecting RU football.

As I said, everything I've ever heard about AL is in person he's an extremely bright, engaging, and level headed person. The kind of guy you'd want to hang out with. Here? Eh. He's said too much crazy stuff to take any post seriously.
