Posted on the website? Again, I am talking about making the national news on any of the broadcasts. If the situation were reversed, it would be the lead story on the 6 PM news on every network.
And I'm pretty sure Yahoo is national. Maybe even global.
Oh, now we are moving the goalposts to "national broadcasts". The ABC News link I posted had a video. I have zero idea if it will run on that 30 minute dinosaur called the nightly news, but please keep us posted. I will be on the edge of my seat.

Of course not, that's why many people need self protection. The police will not always get there in time.

Oh, let's see. Treyvon Martin was a local shooting with a Hispanic shooter. Michael Brown was a local shooting. Freddie Gray was local. The national media can make a local story a national one when they choose to, if it fits their agenda. Good guy with a gun doesn't.
Correct. How long between the shooting of Martin and that becoming a national story? If memory serves, the family was interviewed about the fact that their son had been killed, the shooter was picked up, questioned, and released. I think the initial decision was not to seek an indictment in that case also at that point. Thats when that became a national story.

Why did it become a national story? These kinds of shootings happen every day. A young black male shot by a Hispanic man. Chicago has seemingly four or five murders a day.
Innocent kid shot by a man for no reason? Oh wait, being black IS reasonable suspicion in your mind isn't it? Zimmerman was just practicing "proactive policing" in your mind, right? Only Americans that look like you deserve to have rights.
Are those murders all people pulling a gun on someone because they look suspicious?
I'm saying it is a local story. These kinds of shootings happen every day. I said nothing about any justification for the shooting.
This wasn't gang violence. This was a misunderstanding that became a fight that turned fatal. It became a national story because a grown man got into a fight with a teenager, and he shot and killed the teenager, and had no charges filed against him. The family pushed the issue, got the attention of enough people, and made it a national story. Should the guy who got dragged off a United flight have been a national story? That was one guy on one airplane.
I suspect a good deal are. Again, these kinds of shootings happen all the time.
Not EVERYTHING that doesn't fit your clean little internal narrative is a liberal conspiracy!
Two very different situations. One, getting punched, and nearly knocked out and then being dragged off an airplane almost never happens if ever. Second is a Hispanic man shooting a black man. You can make all the excuses you want for why it became a national story but you are missing the true reason. The media assumed Zimmerman was white. In fact, after learning he was Hispanic, the New York Times came up with a brand-new label called White Hispanic.
White Hispanic was on forms that I filed related to financial aid and such when I went to college in 1989. I know for a fact that I saw and heard it prior to that point. I remember joking about it with a buddy in my physics class which I took junior year in high school - 1987-88.
