Although I am shocked at this news,I wish nothing but the best for coach mattera and his family...thank you coach for all your time and effort!!

I too wish Coach Mattera the very best. He's a good guy who gave our kids maximum effort. He and his family are positive examples for the players. It's unfortunate that the record on the field didn't reflect the effort. Time to move on.

Seems odd, but if their is a health concern in his family then he made the correct choice.

Thomasville will get a good guy to take his place, trust in that.

Promotion to athletic director at Holmes is a nice move. Thomasville will have plenty of applicants.
