how's he looking to you now? Still think he should go elsewhere? Out yourself and feel shame.

Our fans have a history of declaring freshmen and sophomores terrible before they've even gotten a chance to adjust to college in general. MOST players we take won't reach their potential to their junior year, latter sophomore year at a minimum. Just ignore them. Then they get booed like Derrick Taite. That **** hurts recruiting.

i do to an extent. i remember people on here having given up on him and saying that it would probably be in his best interest to transfer because it was clear that he was never going to be the same. i don't necessarily remember people bashing him but there was at least one thread saying his days were over.

That message ...

now appears as an example of what NOT to post.

"With all of this being said why not let Perkins continue to play the role he's played the last few years and make Milton the primary guy? Sounds like the best plan to me."

This is 'why' coaches don't read message boards.

I'm pretty sure the discussion was after Milton had a monster game, everyone saying Griffin would never get significant carries and that "if I were him, id transfer". I don't think there was any ill feelings towards him.

It's pretty ridiculous how deep our running back bench is.

He doesn't go down on first contact and is physical..........I like him and want to see him more............

As a person who wasn't sure if he could recover mentally from his injury

It's looking like I may have to eat my words. It took him some time but he is running like he is no longer afraid to get hit.

While I never said he should transfer, I did say that I didn't know if he was mentally tough enough to fully recover from the injury. After seeing the first few games and seeing him in action, I was all but certain that he was going to be buried in the depth chart and end up leaving school eventually. He just wasn't running with determination. He was hesitant.

Now, after the last couple games I love what I've seen. He's running downhill without fear. He's showing the potential and re-instilling the hope that I had for him before (and even a little after) his injury.

Hope he can keep up his performance level.
